Since the computer seems to turn on fine, the problem is most likely with your monitor or its cables. Make sure everything is connected securely. If this does not work, you will want to try plugging you computer into another monitor. The least likely, if the previous steps do not fix the problem, is that you're graphics card in the computer is dead and needs to be replaced.

Soyo monitor MT-NI-DYLM1998 "out of range."

Your windows 7 screen resolution is set too high and your display doesn't support it. There are 3 possible solutions to this problem:
1. Press F8 during startup and choose "Enable row-resolution video"
2. Press F8 during startup and choose "Safe mode" and change screen resolution there, then reboot.
3. You can always use another display (if you have one) to set screen resolution to lower value.

Hallo there
I hope you have got your screen beack, if not try to restart your computer in safe mode.
The restarting can be done in the following way:
1. Click START, click TURN OFF COMPUTER, and then click RESTART
2. While the computer is starting, press and hold down the F8 key until the Startup Menu appears
3 Use the UP ARROW and DOWN ARROW to select Safe Mode, press ENTER.
Now to the display settings
1 Open Display Properties in Control Panel
2 Click the Settings tab
3 If for some reason you are not in safe mode go through following:
In Colour quality, clock to alower settiing
Move Screen Resolution slider to the left if you want to reducethe size of the desktop
To Refresh frequency click Advanced and check the Adapter and Monitor.
4 After you have made your changes click OK
restart the computer if you are told to do so. But do not do it in safe mode..
Good luck

When i on my pc then the lg screen show me message analog power saving mode and then screen turns black. how can i overcome this problem

I would say that it doesn't see any signal coming from the computer. Check your output. Check the video drivers. Try another video display.

Tells me I'm in a power saver mode. Screen is blank. Model is 2241V

That message comes up when the monitor doesn't get a signal from computer, and enters power save mode until computer comes on. This usually means that the computer's not starting up when you turn the power on. It may also mean that some problem has occurred with the computer's video circuitry.

Begin by checking that the computer is actually starting up properly. Look for the normal startup signs (lights on the computer showing power and disk access, fans running, sounds through the speakers). If you're sure that the computer is working and getting into Windows, try another monitor. This will tell you if the monitor is bad or if there's a video issue with the computer.

After starting, my monitor displays "power saving mode".

Go into the menu and reset the monitor to factory defaults.

Samsung SyncMaster 712n monitor will have small blue & white tiny checkers on the screen. will go away if i click the mouse. sometimes the entire screen has those tiny blue & white checkers.

Surely the monitor lets you change it's 'standby' settings so that it doesn't show that; or change your computer's power savings modes not to include standby?

Tiny Monitor

Out of frequency means your video card is trying to display a resolution beyond the capability of you monitor. Typically it is really a combination of too high a resolution and too many colors. Typically a 19? CRT will be set to display at a screen resolution of 1024 x 1024 with the color quality at 32 bit or *true* color. Personal preferences differ and you can set it lower or higher, depending on the capabilities of the monitor. Let us know if you have any other questions and please don?t forget to rate this post.

Hi Snandy, I absolutely despise monitor and computer sleep or hibernation modes. Before I started routinely disabling this on all the computers I supported my users were always having problems no matter how computer literate they were. I know this sounds simplistic and you may have already done it but have you just unplugged the monitor? If that doesn?t work maybe the PC itself has gone to sleep as well. Try moving the mouse, hitting a keyboard key. If that doesn?t work try pushing the power button on the computer to turn it on. If all else fails pull the power plug on the computer itself, plug back in and it should start up. I would suggest disabling all of this via Windows Power settings in the control panel. Let us know if you have any other questions and again please don?t forget to rate the post.
