Keep it unplugged for about 30 minutes to reset the tv. then try again. also you may have simply blown a fuse inside the tv. open up the back panel right where the plug connect there will be a fuse. if its blown just replace it. if its not blown and the 30 minutes dont work. its not worth finding a power supply (i looked and cannot find one anywhere) and if you do i have seen power supplies for other tvs upwards of a couple hundred you can easily buy a 37 in 1080p tv know for around 350

LG 32LH2000 My TV was turned of last night in the usual way, the power turned off on the remote control, then the power supply switched off and the plug removed. This morning I attached the power...

most LG have a "vacation switch" on the bottom right hand side of the set very near that standby light.

it is placed poorly, where you can accidently click when grabbing the TV to move it or swivel it.

it is a toggle switch, a "master power" switch.

you may have bumped it to the off position. flip the switch, your standby light will come back on.

Unplugged tv and when plugged back in doesn't come on

If you have unpluged the TV from wall socket and it doesn't come On when you plug in back, either its power supply system or its stored memory has the trouble. Look whether the power indicator light coms on. Ensure that the main power ON/OFF switch at the front panel of the TV is ON. If the front panel power switch, control switch of your wall socket, and all the other electrical connections are OK, and still the TV doesn't come ON, surely the power inverter baord has the trouble and must be either repaired or replaced. if the power indicator light comes on, and your TV doesn't come ON by remote POWER ON button, the settigs that were stored has vanished, and resetting it to its original setting is necessary. Follow its manual for 'initial setup" and so all the recomended setting there. OK.

The main house RCD tripped yesterday and since this the tv has now stopped working due to possible power surge? I have changed the main plug fuse which I do not think had blown. When I turn the plug on,...

It a repairable tv,most of the times the power supply board got hit with big power surges to the tv.Power tripped, turn it back on the outlet give to much juice to the tv at once. This can cause the power supply board to go into protection mode and shutdown problems or dead all together.Tries a reset by unplug, replug the tv like an hour later. The tv now,it resetting back to the factory setting. The tv should work now. Not,than the tv power supply board is dead. That the board, where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like, to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Power switch light is on but no other poweris getting through, changed the power supply but same problem. light comes on power button but power supply fan doesn't even come on.

No beeps are heard, no CPU fan is turning on, only blinking yellow light. This brand usually experiences this problem.
  1. First, check the power supply. Disconnect connectors from the board and make a jumper wire for the green wire to any black wire. If the PS fan does not spin then it's busted, else proceed below.
  2. Reconnect connectors except the one with 4 wires, 2 yellow and 2 black, then switch on. If CPU fan turns on then you have a bad processor.
  3. If the fan is still not turning on then check the USB port pins for short circuit.. disconnect it from the board and switch on.
  4. Do the same with other hardware connected to the board.
PS: The metallic casing of computers must be connected to the common ground of the power utility to protect it from stray currents that result to damage of sensitive components such as processors, memory and hard disks.

No power at all. Changed PSU and still no luck. MOBO light comes on but nothing else. I need to check the connections to the J9G1 jumper too.

If you changed out the power supply, and checked all the cables, checked and made sure the power switch was on, checked the switch for 110/220 on back of computer, confirmed it was plugged into a good socket, check the cable that connects the motherboard to the power supply with a voltmeter that may help in isolating the problem. The small motheboard light is on beause the CMOS battery is still supplying the board with some electricity.
On the jumpers, couldn't get you a diagram they are not avabilable; cover pins 1-2 is normal mode; cover pins 2-3 is to configure BIOS; none the BIOS will attempt to configure itself but you have to boot from a cd rom or diskette. Hope this helps. If none of those works then its the motherboard.
Pls rate this solution.

since you changed the ballast and the power supply the first thing i would do is recheck the plug connections on bothe boards. the wires on the power supply have a funny routing and sometimes can get cut or pinched. the small connector on the ballast will get loose pin connections and not make contact.if those look ok, leave the back covers off, put the air filter door on. nnow while you are listening over by the ballast, turn on the set, and check for a small arcing sound.if you here one that means the ballast is firing. look to see if you pushed the lamp wires out of the lamp housing.
post back what you find and we can go farther

Power problem?

Try th set in another room, if only to see if this phenomenom happens with other light fixtures or appliances. Would suspect the switching type supply in the TV as suspect if the problem "moves" with the set....accordianman
