Sounds like your water valve is leaking. If you shut the water valves off at the wall and it stops then for sure your valve is leaking. The leaking from under the washer could be coming from the pump leaking, overloading, hoses leaking on the connections or a tub seal. I would check the pump first, just tip it back a little and see if you feel water on the pump, it's right up front. This washer is very easy to work on.
Hello there: If the washer leaks all the time, check these:Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold
water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking,
tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between
the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the
outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks,
you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while
the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it.
The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the
center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a
qualified appliance repair technician. Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the
leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black
rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that
spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it. Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs
can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to
replace the entire outer tub-
Hi, it does sound like a pump but, you should not have oil with it. Tip the washer back against the wall and look underneath to see if there is transmission fluid/oil leaking.
Please let me know and I can assist you with changing the pump.
Can you describe where the leak may becoming from? For example, near the front, from under the washer, or near the back.
If you notice a pool of water coming from under the washer near the FRONT, this is commonly caused by a leaking water pump. Since these pumps are sealed units and are considered non-serviceable, it must be replaced. They cannot be resealed or "fixed".
If the leak appears to be leaking from under the washer near the CENTER of the tub, either the tub seal is leaking or the air dome hose may have come loose. If the tub seal is leaking, it also must be replaced. If the air dome hose comes loose, however, the washer will never fill up all the way and will continuously run. This will cause a flood rather than a drip.
If the leak is coming from the REAR of the washer, this can be caused by cracked fill hoses, loose fill hose connections, a leaking drain hose, or a fill valve hose leaking.
Since you said you checked your hoses, I suspect a water pump, or something loose. Can you please confirm your symptoms and let me know?
Good luck. Mine did the same and they sent their technicians out to fix the problem. A&E comes out and replaces the tub ring. They told me the washer is now made with the tub ring in place. When he opened the washer up I noticed I now have rust inside my washer. I have spent a month trying to get Whirlpool to replace my washer but they will only replace parts. A&E came out to replace the tub ring and now my door creaks and my washer does not go back together correctly. Hopefully you can justreturn the washer to where you got it. Read other reviews on line. It sounds like this washer is a lemon. Sorry!
