I don't know the saw model. But they usually turn off clock wise.To the right. You will need to take a punch and hammer and give it a good hit to the right.Maby 3 or 4 times if its been on a long time.To reinstall give it a couple hits the other way so its tight.Hope this helps

Chainsaw clutch adjustment

To my knowledge chainsaws do not have an adjustable clutch. They can be replaced. To replace you must keep the piston from moving. I have stuffed some rope into the spark plug hole and then remove the nut holding the clutch in place. Then use a puller to remove the clutch from the shaft. There should be a key in the shaft so watch for it and put it back when you put the clutch back on.

How to remove fb460v engine

the Kawasaki engine removes pretty straight forward (bolts out , cable off, wires unhooked, etc) , the only difficult part is removing a well worn in power take/off clutch from its shaft , this will take some care if you need to reinstall it

but I will say unless its a total loss (cracked) ive rebuilt enough of them while still in the tractor , the only part you cant replace doing it that way is the bottom oil seal and the crank shaft (its stuck into that clutch I was telling you about )

Echo ppt-266 pole chainsaw will not cut with the pole extended

A very common problem is that the tip of the drive shaft breaks off. If it cuts with the pole retracted and won't cut with it extended, than the drive shaft is pulling out at the clutch end or at the head. Try loosening the screws where the pole goes into the cutting head, stand the unit straight up and twist the cutting head to see if it drops down even just a little bit. After trying that, loosen the screws where the pole goes into the engine assembly and twist it there also. If this doesn't work, remove the pole at the engine end and pull the drive shaft out to inspect the ends of the shaft. Good Luck. George

How to remove clutch on poulan pro

One way is air operated impact wrench. If you don't have access to that particular tool, you can take the sparkplug out and slip in enough rope so engine will not turn past top dead center. It will lock the crank shaft enabling you to loosen clutch nut without harming anything on the engine. When done, pull rope out, reinsert sparkplug and you're ready to go.

Black arms in clutch dont allways come out and catch when rope pulled. Chainsaw rope pulls out without catching and turning over to start. What should i do?

Most Stihl starters that i have seen rely on the r clip securing the pulley on being a tight fit on the shaft, this creates a friction, as the pulley turns the clip trys to stay still and in turn pushes the pawls out, remove the clip and squash it close together to create a better fit on the shaft

I have a Poulan P2316 chain saw. The chain got stuck in a tree. After freeing it, the clutch appears to be locked up. The chain moves freely on the bar when I remove it from the saw. Thanks Alan

Make sure the chain brake isn't set. When you turn the clutch outer drum, does it try to turn the engine as well? If so, try oiling the bearing that allows the outer drum to turn over the inner section, and work the oil into the bearing. If no help, you will need to replace the clutch. It is held to the shaft with left-hand-threads and usually requires a special tool to remove it, plus the upper cylinder needs to be stuffed with starter cord so that the piston cannot rise much above the upper part of the exhaust port while trying to remove the clutch. Don't try to remove it with an impact wrench as that will shear the flywheel key. Hope this helps!

Starter cord tangled on shaft 3043ye

to remove the clutch remove the four screws that connet the trimmer shaft to the engine, remove the shaft. Then insert the correct torex head driver into the center of the clutch cover. There is a screw (the same head as the screws that holds the trimmer shaft on) Remove the clutch cover, insert a screwdriver into the engine cooling fins to hold the engine from rotating and turn the clutch from the engine. The clutch had a remove arrow to help with the direction to turn in order to remove.
