How can i get rid of white sots on my tv

If you are talking about irregular white blotches that show up on an LCD panel whenever it is turned on, these are considered irreparable defects. (I suspect these are caused by excess mechanical stress such as external pressure, leading to an uneven distribution of the liquid crystal material. If the problem is objectionable enough to discard the panel, I'd be tempted to try to massage the panel to try to push liquid crystal back into the white areas. Otherwise, I wouldn't mess with it for fear of making things worse. I did something like this once - it took a careful touch, lots of patience and several tries to get the display to work properly. Today's high-contrast panels have tighter spacing requirements and are probably much less forgiving than that panel was.)

Likewise, single small white squares that never change (stuck pixels) are not repairable. Some warranties will not cover these unless they exceed a certain number.

I assume you are NOT talking about external smears like the water spots that collect on bathroom mirrors.

Have message bulb needs replacing but is that what is making the screen greenish all the coloring is off looks like martians on tv Is it being caused by the bad bulb? I want to replace it but if it is not...

Do you know if your tv is DLP or Liquid Crystal over Silicon, or just LCD, if it is Liquid crystal the green one could be failing, if it is DLP you may need a color wheel. I doubt a new bulb will fix that problem

Whats the difference between Backlight inverter and LCD??http://www.fixya.com/PostQuestion.aspx?dm=1&ref=thask

Liquid Crystal Display commonly known as LCD is an
electronically modulated optical device made up of any number of pixels filled with crystal.. The one you called the screen.. facing you when you are in front of the lcd monitor
It needs light source for this to have display... the light source whose responsible for the image to be displayed is the backlight inverter.. Its in the form of a cold cathode lights...frequently located at the upper and lower back edge of the LCD screen..

Hope i clear things out for you...

Much appreciated if you rate this help..thanks..

LCDs therefore need a light source and are classified as "passive" displays
LCDs are more energy efficient, and offer safer disposal, than CRTs. Its low electrical power consumption enables it to be used in battery-powered electronic equipment. It is an electronically-modulated optical device made up of any number of pixels filled with liquid crystals and arrayed in front of a light source (backlight) or reflector to produce images in color or monochrome. The earliest discovery leading to the development of LCD technology, the discovery of liquid crystals, dates from 1888.[1] By 2008, worldwide sales of televisions with LCD screens had surpassed the sale of CRT units.

LS430 radio display went blank; letters, numbers etc. won't appear but there is a white backlight and the radio plays fine. Is there a simple fix short of replacing the radio? thanks in advance.

Im sorry to be the one to inform you but its bad news. Once the liquid crystal display fails, there is no more hope. It may come back on by itself but it will surly fail again. Replacement will be inevitable.

Macbook screen blotches

If you go to turn on your laptop and loads to your os and the spots on the screen remain there then most likely you have ruptured the liquid crystals in the screen by pressing too hard when you were cleaning the screen with the computer off. you could lightly touch the black spots with your finger and if it displaces the black with a white halo effect around your finger (DO NOT PRESS TOO HARD OR WITH FINGERNAILS DIRECTLY ON THE SCREEN) then it will mean that you will have to replace the screen because it has busted the crystals definately. "Finger Print" sized shaded area on screen

A shaded or dark spot on the screen is usually a bad pixel area and is caused by being hit or pressed to hard in that area. It could also be that the liquid crystal (LC in the LCD) in that area has become stagnant, try rubbing the area and around the area pressing firmly, just enough to see a color change in the screen area, but not too hard that the area turns black. Rubbing the area will move the liquid crystal around and sometimes refreshes a darkened area. If rubbing doesn't work, then it's a bad pixel area, and will eventually become a dead pixel area with time.
