Go to Start/Run and type "control userpasswords2" minus the quotes. You can also use "control userpasswords" to bring up the user accounts menu thats found in control panel.
If you are using a standerd account go onto this website and consider what they offer: http://www.password-changer.com/

Sounds like you had your browser save passwords, so you 1st need to remove saved passwords. Each browser is different, so search the help for your browser & it will guide you. Then, assuming he has his own account, he logs in using his name / password; whether he has browser save it or not is up to him. I strongly recommend against having browsers save password, too easy to hack.
Only one person is supposed to know your password. If you forgot it, when logging in, on that page is a button, forgot password or something like that. Press the button and you will get an email, on the address you gave the site while setting up your account. Follow the instructions in the mail and everything will be ok in just a few minutes.
If someone hacked your account and did change the settings, you don't get an e-mail, you won't be able to claim the account. You have to setup a new account.
Try logging in as "ADMINSTRATOR". Unless you set a different password, that account probably does not have one. From there, you can reset any other user password, including the account you would usually use.
Try to press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. The screen have to change and a dialog to appear with Username/Password. Type "Administrator" (without the quotes) for username and leave password empty. Press Enter. If you can log in as administrator in that way, you can force set password for your user account in Control Panel/User Accounts
Re: the inability to use Windows etc. First make sure you logged on as an Administrator, if you're not change the permissions ( start->settings->Control Panel->User accounts, then make the changes needed).
As far as the lost password(s) visit www.magicaljellybean.com and download their key finder as you may need a key later on if you need to re-do major settings. Next head over to: http://www.loginrecovery.com and download the appropriate files to removable media if necessary, then run on your computer. If that doesn't recover the passwords check Tucows.com or Cnet.com for password recovery freeware.
If you have windows XP, boot the computer in safe mode. When you start the computer keep tapping the F8 key to the advanced boot menu. Select safe mode. It would give you the login screen. Select Administrator, do not enter any password, if you can get through, it means that you did not setup a password for the system administrator. Once you get to the safe mode window with the icons, you go to start, control panel, user accounts, select the user account that you used to login and delete the password. You can retype a password again and exit out of the window and restart the computer. You would be good to go.
If you have windows vista, and you have created the password reset disc, you can use that to reset the password. You need to boot the computer with that disc. if not, you need to run the system recovery on your computer.
