Question about Motorola MC55 Handheld Mobile Computer PN MC5590PU0DUQQA9WR Portable Terminal

1 Answer

Hi, I need to stop the beep from being played when a successful scan occurs. I haven't been able to find anything in the documentation or poking around the API that lets me do this. Does anyone know a way of doing this? i need to do this in Motorola MC55 device. I am using C# code. Thanks, Vimal

Are you using a Barcode Software like Datawedge ? if so, the settings are in the "Feedback" area of the software. Turn Decibles down to 0.

Disconnect the scanner from the computer. Uninstall driver software, shut down and restart the Comp. Reinstall the driver. (http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0036991.asp?model= ). connect the scanner and the system will report USB device plugged in. This should work.

To "Settings/Registration Table"

Check the settings on the printer to see if you have to switch from scanning to printing, also if you have the original setup disk for the printer just run it again and that will solve the problem.

Scanner is scanning slow

likely your resolution settings are very high, anything scanned at over 100dpi will take considerably longer. if it were a hardware issue then the scanned document would not be readable as the speed of the rollers must be sync'd with the scanning speed for a successful scan

Scanning when out of ink

I don't think the Scanner neeeds a Cartridge to Scan a Document. You should be able to scan your Document even if your Tanks ran out of Ink. Just use the same process of scanning that you used so far and will be successful to scan the Document you're about to.
If you can't do anything regarding this, contact Vendor.
