Question about Tatung Televison & Video

1 Answer

The picture on my lcd, flat panel Tatung begins to flash pixelated pieces of the picture I'm watching. These pixels appear on the right bottom of the screen, (when your looking at the screen). If I reset the the tv using the reset button, this effect will stop and the picture is fine for about 15 minutes and then the flashing resumes. Everything else is working properly.

First, thanks for your prompt reply.

I thought, at first, that it was a problem with my cable box or hdmi cables. I bought new hdmi cables and the problem persists. It also happens when watching a dvd or other medium. I'm sure it's the set.

It was very helpful and a really quick reply. I am going to bite the bullet and give it a try.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am going to give it a whirl, tomorrow.

I did send a favorable comment. You've been great,

Does this happen while watching the tv through a cable service or satallite service or does this also happen when watching a DVD through a player?
Pixelation occurs when the incoming signal to your TV is weak or incomplete. As a result, the TV doesn't have all the data it needs to process the image correctly, and pixelation occurs. In layman terms, it can be thought of as the TV's manifestation an incomplete image. The causes of this problem usually stems from incomplete or incorrect digital or analog signals. The other causes are weak cold solder joints in one or more of the buffer boards, or tuner on the set. If your handy and know how to solder, you can take the boards out of the set and look for bad solder joints on the board and simply re-solder them. If it is not the cable or satallite and your hesitant to take the boards out to look for bad soldering, then I suggest you have a tech look the set over. If it is still new enough that you have a warranty let the dealer who sold this to you take a look at it. Let me know how you wish to proceed.

I wish you the best of luck on this and if you could kindly give me a vote for helping I would appreciate it so that I can help others as well. You might also find that one of the boards is simply not seated good and this can also cause this, try checking the boards for looseness, but make sure the set is unplugged and has been off for at least an hour before doing this. There ae capacitors that store power in them and they can shock you.

"Aero features are'nt running in window's 7"

Solution: Check that your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements for running Aero:

1-gigahertz (GHz) 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

1 gigabyte (GB) of random access memory (RAM)

128-megabyte (MB) graphics card

Aero also requires a DirectX 9 class graphics processor that supports a Windows Display Driver Model Driver, Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware, and 32 bits per pixel.

For best results, you might also want to follow these graphics processor recommendations:

64 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution that is less than 1,310,720 pixels (for example, a 17–inch flat panel LCD monitor that has a 1280 × 1024 resolution)

128 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution from 1,310,720 to 2,304,000 pixels (for example, a 21.1–inch flat panel LCD monitor that has up to a 1600 × 1200 resolution)

256 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution greater than 2,304,000 pixels (for example, a 30–inch wide-screen flat panel LCD monitor that has up to a 2560 × 1600 resolution)

To turn on window frame transparency, the color scheme must first be set to Windows Aero.

1.Open Personalization by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Personalization.

2.Click Window Color and Appearance.

3.Select the Enable transparency check box.

To change the color scheme to Windows Aero

1.Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Window Color and Appearance. If the Appearance Settings dialog box is not displayed, at the bottom of the page, click Open classic appearance properties.

2.In the Color scheme list, click Windows Aero, and then click OK.

Check that your theme is an aero theme and not a normal theme. Themes are available in normal and aero and can be confusing. Set your theme as an aero theme and you should get the aero window working.

These steps will help us to have AERO running.
