The best thing to do is to claim warranty support on your computer system from the place of purchase, if however that otion is not available to you, you may go through my published guides. They are listed below:
How to Remove the Side Panels of My Computer Chassis!!!

My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

How do I reset my BIOS/CMOS to defaults?

The problem may be a loose connection, be sure to push in all drives and fan connectors as well as the 4Pin CPU and 24Pin Mainboard Power connectors.
Give it a clean if need be.

Thanks

The green light just show that the motherboard is getting power.
The power button of the front of the case is connected to the mother board, not to the power supply, usually in the extreme lower left corner along with the with the HDD and Reset Button cords; Power button wire are labeled and usually red/black.
If all wired correctly, possible bad or stuck power button or reset button.
Hope this helps.

Hi,

You may have a couple of problems here, with you saying it`s a gaming PC it most likely has a graphics card installed which will likely only have outputs for DVI or HDMI, VGA is not usually supported on newer cards. What you need to look for is on the back of the PC where you are plugging in your monitor are you inserting the plug vertically, i.e. straight up and down? if so this means you are connecting to the motherboards onboard graphics which will be disabled if you have a graphics card. If you are using a VGA monitor then most likely it is a blue plug on the board you are plugging into, if you have a graphics card then the most common outputs are what is called DVI which is a slightely bigger white plug. You need to look slightly lower down from the plug you are connecting to and see if there are one or two DVI sockets which will be mounted horizontally. If this is the case then the motherboard socket will be disabled, there are a couple of solutions to this though, you can remove the graphics card which will re enable the onboard graphics and allow you to use your monitor, you can buy a monitor with a DVI input or you can buy from most PC stores a DVI to VGA converter which lets you use your existing monitor with your graphics card although the frame rates and refresh may not be so good, the latter is the method I would recommend to get going.

Hope this helps and thanks for using fixya

I just bought an "iBUYPOWER

call ibuypower technical support. if you brought it from them
if it's under warranty call the company you brought it from.
if you try to fix it yourself, the may not take it back. and keep your money.
that being said make sure your monitor is plug in the right port from the picture I saw on newegg, they have two ports that it can plug into a blue vga port or a white dvi. you want to plug into the one on video card.

No power, power supply seems ok,green light on mother board on. when pluged in the fan runs for a couple seconds and turns off.power button has no effect.

sounds like a mother board issue,

start with pulling out all ram chips and re try,,

then try pulling all cards out like old modem and also cdroms.

if ever thing but power is unpluged its a bad mother board or CPU chip
