Hello Ifox5858,

I understand that when you hook up the hose to the back of your washing machine that the water comes out of the hose. The problem that you are having may be because of washers are missing out of the hose ends. You need to take the hoses off and look and see if you have rubber washers in the side that is leaking. The washers are standard water hose washers you can buy at any hardware store.

1. Place washer in hose
2. Install hose hand tight
3. Turn a quarter turn with wrench
4. Turn water on check for leaks if leaking slowly turn tighter to leak stops

This should fix your problem.

Thank you for choosing FIxya.com

How do i fix FH

FH is Fill Hose error. Turn off water supply and disconnect hoses from back of machine, clean off strainers on back of machine where hoses connect and make sure you have water coming through hose. ( you can turn the water on slowly one hose first then the other and catch the water in a pot or mop bucket. You should have a steady water flow.) hook hoses back up, turn on water and test.

Water leaks (spewing) from sides of bottom of machine when it's filling up

The normal cause of leaking while it is filling is a leaking Inlet hose. Try pulling the washing machine away from the wall and watch the hoses as the machine fills. If it is leaking you can see which hose is leaking. You may either need new tighner clips or to replace the hoses depending on how bad they are leaking. Another possibility is the water pump inside the washing machine could be broken and spewing out water.

GE washing maching not filling

Several factors can cause a GE washing machine not to allow water to enter the drum, including closed valves, kinked hoses, a faulty electrical breaker or sediment in the water lines. Sediment occurs most often when the water to the home is off due to electrical outages or when installing items in the plumbing. Cleaning the screens will remove a sediment blockage, allowing water into a washing machine.
    • 1 Check each water valve for the hot and cold water lines to make sure they are open completely. Open valves are turned completely to the left. Check the fuse at the electrical box to make sure it is not faulty, and check to make sure the washer is plugged securely into the outlet. Observe the water supply hoses to make sure there are no kinks from the supply valves to the back of the appliance.
Observe the water supply valve handles to see if they are cracked. If so, they need replacing.
    • 2 Turn off both the hot and cold water supply valves. Turn each knob completely counterclockwise to turn them to the off position. Pull the washer forward to reach the water supply valves, hoses and the back of the washing machine. Place one hand on each side of the washing machine and slightly lift the front while pulling straight out from the wall.
    • 3 Place a bucket at the rear of the appliance. Use adjustable pliers to unscrew the hot and cold water hoses on the back of the washing machine. Turn each hose counterclockwise to unscrew and remove from the washing machine while pointing them into the bucket to catch any water in the hoses.
    • 4 Turn on the hot water supply valve and hold the hose pointing into the bucket. Observe to see if water is coming out of the hose or trickling out of the hose. Repeat this procedure for the cold water supply hose. Limited water or no water flow indicates that the lack of flow is at the valve end of the water supply hoses.
    • 5 Pull the filters out of the washer valves with needle-nose pliers. Rinse under warm water to clean out any sediment and replace them in the hot and cold water washer valves on the appliance.
    • 6 Unscrew the hot water supply hose from the valve using adjustable pliers. Turn the hose connector clockwise to unscrew and remove. Repeat this procedure with the cold water supply hose. Pull out the screen from each hose with needle-nose pliers and rinse under warm water to clean. Replace the screens.
    • 7 Replace both water supply hoses on the washer valves and the washing machine and tighten them with adjustable pliers. Slide the washing machine back into place and level the legs by slightly lifting the front of the washing machine and setting it back down.

Water was turned off to house to fix a plumbing problem. now the washing machine will not work. the water will not pass through the hoses.

take your lines off and check your screens in the back of the water inlet valve,, then with the hoses off hold them in a bucket and turn them on, this will get rid of all the dirt and things in the lines,, the screens will be where your hoses hook up on the back of the unit

Why does the water run so slowly suddenly

these types of washers have a round filters in the part on the back of machine were the hose hooks up to. All you have to do is find whether if its hot or cold that runs slow or both and turn the water off and unhook the hose(s) you will see a build in metal filter in the hole you can use a flathead screwdriver to get these out if they are not damaged to badly you can usually get the buildup out yourself or just go to any hardware store or lowes and by new ones. To check and see if it is what the problem is hook the hose back up (leave the filter off ) and start your washing machine back up ( don't forget to turn your water back on). This should fix the problem and your water pressure. GOODLUCK!!!

Orientation of inlet pipes

I am not to sure if this answers your question but I think you are asking which way the hot and cold hoses connect to the wasing machine? if this is the case if you look on the back of the washing machine you will see stamped in the metel a H for hot connect the hot water inlet hose to this, If it is not marked, hook up the hot water hose to the washing machine and place the water temp selector to hot and turn machine on if hot water comes out you have the correct hose hooked up,if not then the cold water hose goes were you hooked up the hot water hose. hope this helps

Water flows in cold side of water valve and out hot side valve

It seems unlikely that something went wrong just from moving it unless it got banged up!
It sounds like you may have stripped the hot side.
I'm assuming the water is going in the cold side and out the hot side and out the back.
If this is so and you are happy with just cold water try this:
Go to a Plumbing Store and buy a cap for the leaking intake...if it still leaks you can try soldering the two together!
I hope this was helpful.
Good Luck!

My washer machine is not getting water

Check to see if the screens located at the hose connections at the back of the machine are plugged.
This is one of the most common problems, when water won't come into the machine.
Also, before you hook the hoses back up, run water into a bucket to make sure water comes from the hoses.
Email me back if this does not solve the problem.

Leaking from the front top of machine immediately when cycle begins...

Not sure if this is the same problem but my old WD800 used to spew water out of the top left corner where the detergent tray is. This occurred at one point in the cycle. It was cured by turning down the incoming water pressure on the external tap under the kitchen sink (in this particular case, the cold water)
