There are two ways of resetting a router:

  1. Unplug the power, wait, and plug it back in, should restart the router.
  2. Find a small hole labeled "reset" you will likely need a pin or pen or small object to push into the hole. Hold it down to reset the router to factory default settings.
This should reset the router, but the second option may require you to call your cable company to re-enable your internet (not always)
Good luck!

First unplug your main router for about 1/2 a minute to reset it. If that doesn't work, try resetting your console's set-up option from scratch. Make sure you have your router code first.

Unplug house connection or router for 30 seconds, then do the linsys for 10 seconds and plug back in. This should reset everything to work correctly. If needed, reset ip address on your pc. Set up home network if necessary.

try resetting the router to factory settings, it may have been set to allow only 2 or 3 wireless connections, just take a pen and hold it in the reset hole on the back of the router till all the lights blink and it restarts

No connection

looks like a common issue on routers and cable modem, well a little common.

the power comming fromt he modem (information pass) is too much for the internet port on the router to handle that it quits if the surge from the modem comes.

here is what you do:

get a longer ethernet cable to connect your modem and the router, may 10-15 feet ethernet cable, put it in a coil and tie a knot in the middle, just look at the picture below.

once this is done, you may access the router's page again and make sure that the MAC clone feature is enabled and perform a power cycle. power down the modem and the router, power up the modem first, wait for around a minute or until the ONLINE light is steady and then turn the router on. after that try your connection on the router.

Are you doing this wirelessly or with a wire (Ethernet cable).?
Do the setup with an ethernet cable first, then try wireless after setting it up.

Connection/setup problem

You are not trying to log onto another network. Your router should connect you to your ISP and the internet, through the modem you are using. If you have a laptop enabled with wireless internet card and you are trying to log onto the network supported by your new router, you can click on the network icon on you computer and get it to scan for available networks. Once you see the network you just created with your new router, you enter the SSID, password and IP address you used in setting up the router. Hope this helps
