I just bought a craftsman pneumatic 1/2-in drive impact wrench. And used it with my craftsman 4-gallon 1hp air compressor tried to loosen the bolts on my car wheel wouldn't loosen them help

Pneumatic tools are rated in cfm (cubic feet per minute). Your 1 HP air compressor is rated at probably not more than 3 cfm while the 1/2 " impact driver needs at least 8 cfm, maybe 12 chm of air.
The compressor must provide more chm than tool rating needs.
It is a problem, by the time you look at five horse power air compressors and larger, a lot of electric power is needed. A circuit of 220 volts, 20, 30, or more amps would be required to run those large expensive compressors.
If you can, return the air tool and get a good electric tool instead.
Leave those high air volume air tools to shops that are so equipped to use, or invest if you must.

I have an air mate by emglo and it will not stop running even when I turn the switch to off. The pressure builds and the relief valve goes off. Can you help? Dan

Sounds like a bad pressure switch, The contacts may have become welded together. Change pressure switch. All you need is a mpart number on the body or in the cover of switch. Shop around, possibly ereplacement parts or ebay, will be cheaper than buying it fromemglo.

Hitachi framing nail gun, fires ok on a large tank shop compressor but on a portable compressor it continually blows air from the piston. The gun has a new o ring kit from a repair shop. They can't find...

the compressor is not putting enough air into the guns cylinder and the escaping air is a safety feature for safety. You need to get a larger comp or increase the pressure coming out of hose. there should be a gauge on comp. Set it for suggested pressure for each separate tool. Be Safe!
My answers are short and sweet. Common sense mostly. If you are trying to get something for nothing...Don't waste my time! Remember if something sounds to good to be true that it usually is. I've spent many years of my life trying to cheat the system and was pretty good at it. This all changed when I discovered that people were doing the same thing to me. What comes around, goes around. Karma! Now I assist people in making win-win deals...that are legit!

2010 town and country ac stop working

I don't think you can troubleshoot the system without a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams.
You have at least two pressure switches, plus a relay and the controller, not to mention the body computer involved in the main circuit.
All of the components would need to be tested with a meter.

Dewalt compressor builts pressure but doesn't supply hose and tool with the air

Dewalt sells a rebuild kit for the regulator (my be part # N008792). You could try lubing the internal parts before ordering the kit. With no air in the tank, remove the plastic knob assembly and pull out the small piston. In the center of the valve body will be a small brass plunger. You should be able to push this plunger in with thumb pressure. If stuck, remove the nut on the back of the valve and lube the plunger with grease (pull the plunger off the back-nut if stuck in place). Lube the piston and cylinder (black plastic piece) with grease and reinstall. The small piston has a lip seal that should point toward the body of the manafold. For emergency air, remove the safety pop-valve and install a tee fitting. On this tee fitting reinstall the safety valve on one port and a quick disconnect on the other. You can draw air out of the tank at full pressure untill you repair the regulator. Good luck

When cold compressor starts and fills up with air. after used with power tools, the compressor wont restart.

you may have a bad pressure switch:

Unplug the compressor. Drain the tank down to zero. Close the drain. Get down close to the pressure switch and have someone else plug the compressor back in while you are closely monitoring the pressure switch. Do you hear anything happen? Do you see any movement in the pressure switch.
by plugging it in with the tank at zero pressure, you should hear a click as the pressure switch trips due to low pressure. It should trip and send power to the electric motor. If this doesn't happen, you may have a pressure switch problem.

Craftsman air compressor 2 hp 20 gallon, seems to running o.k. builds up to 100lbs shuts off when it hits 80lbs come back on, but when i run a tool , right around 90lbs the tool dies out and runs week.when...

IT depends on the tool. Some tools require higher cfm. (cubic feet per minute) of air. IF your air line is not large enough, then sometimes 90psi is not enough to operate a tool as there is a pressure drop at the tool. Look at the required cfm for each tool. Find a chart for air line size, cfm and pressure. Most impact wrenches should be used on a minimum 3/8" air hose. You could look at your manual and see what the max pressure is on your compressor. You may be able to decrease the differential pressure e.g off and 100 and on at 90, but then the compressor will cycle more frequently, and may exceed the duty rating of the compressor.

hi there, if there is enough air pressure present in the compressor the motor will stop, the pressure switch is working.if there is a good pressure at start then suddenly lost the pressure, there is no maintaining pressure to use but on the pressure gauge appear to be have a good or enough air pressure. check if the pressure gauge have enough air pressure the motor is stop, meaning the cut out limit switch stop the motor,if you loosen the air pressure from the valve until the cut in pressure attain or meet the motor will run again there will be a cycle process of differential pressure of cut in and cut out set up on pressure switch. checking the compressor,be sure there is a high pressure on compressor and the compressor motor is stop, shut off service valve and disconnect unit device / tools from the service valve. if the compressor have enough air pressure crakc down the service valve and observe the pressure until it run again the compressor motor,if the pressure maintain the pressure you need to clean the bench, the problem is the unit device/tool you use is defective, but if the maintaining air pressure in the compressor is lost due to malfuction of motor and the compressor engine. check the pressure switch, check the motor function by loosening the belt and run the motor w/o the compressor engine if it is tripping brought it to service center, check also the lubricant oil,if neccessary change oil.have a nice day and fix my rate thanks a lot.
