The manual is not for the T702C it is for a T700, the 702 is all push button controls and is not outlined in this manual. Well it is helpful this does not solve my problem. On pg. 72 the manual does refer to the plug I am having problems with but what I need specifically is the order that the plugs go into what they have labeled as number 5.

There is one plug that goes in first (this one will only go in one way) then there are two remaining single wires with connectors. One that has a small blue strip on the end and one that does not..which one goes in first?????

    Sorry, need you to clarify;
If I get it backwards "...the pump wil run empty." Does this mean that the pump will continue to run and continue to run even after the water has been pumped out?

I believe I am begining to understand, pump is at the back of the unit...if there is no water at the back of the unit and I can hear the pump running (if I have the machine on without turning on a drying cycle)?

Am I on the right track?

Looks like a micro switch connection. If you get it backwards the pump will run empty.
No water in the machine the pump run you know its back wards right?

That's right. Ya have a common wire and a normally open wire and a normally closed wire. The switch has a lever on it. When the water gets full the float switches from run to pump and allow them water to be pumped out. Once them water level drop then that switch shut down that pump.

I have an Asko T702C Butterfly Drying Dryer and it just stopped working. The drum doesn't circulate anymore and the motor is loud. Any idea what that could mean? Thinking of selling it. I'm tired of

It sounds like the belt is broken and the motor is spinning wildly at full speed. As far as who to fix it for anyone to come out there and lets say it is the belt it is going to cost you about $200. The belt itself is probably only $30 or so. Even if there are no parts needed, which is not likely, it will still cost you $150. Ask yourself do you want to invest in that one or a new one,,,how old is that dryer ?

Amana ndg7200tw dryer belt replacement

Unplug it from power,Take the top off the dryer. They "pop" on and pull off. Take the front panel off from the inside, Clean all the lint out, remove the old belt by sliding it off the front if it is not broken, put the new belt on, Stretch it to motor pulley, put the belt tensioner pulley on it, reassemble.

Asko T702C Service Manual

That is a pretty easy fix without the manual. Take off the top by removing screws on the back top. Remove the sheet metal screws around the perimeter of the the back panel. Pull the drum off the front enough to drop the belt in front of the drum. Put the back panel back on. Now you can thread the belt back into place. The belt runs with the ridges on the spindle of the motor and on the smooth side on the tensioner.
You should replace the pulley idler when replacing the belt, also. I learned this the hard way and snapped a 5 month old belt.

There can be many reasons why your dryer will not start or turn...

My ASKO T702C dryer just stopped working. It starts but after 5 mins it just turns off. Any suggestions?

Try opening the bottom vent panel and pulling out the filter box (there are directions and handles)... hold the filter under running hot water for a while and you should see all this nasty stuff come out. Worked for me!

Asko t702c stops working after about 5 minutes

If you continue to try to run the dryer after the automatic shut off kicks-in it will shut the cycle down with no flashing lights after the dryer reaches a critical and dangerous temperature. If the dryer is skipping immediately to this step without any flashing lights then call an Asko certified repairman as something may be wrong with the machine. If you have not tried cleaning the condensor, please do this as well. Remove the bottom housing of the dyer, move the two red handle to the right, and pull out the condensor unit. Wash it under warm/hot water using a bathtub or shower and you will see lint and dust come out by the heapful. Replace the condensor unit, wait about 30-45 minutes, and then try restarting your dry cycle.

Replace belt

A belt replacement problem solution has been posted above. However, to install a new belt the top and back of the machine will have to be removed so that the belt can be slipped off the back of the drum.

Before replacing the belt, I recommend checking the tensioner pulley that is located at the back of the dryer motor. The tensioner pulley is a plastic pulley with a spring attached. Your belt may have come off the tensioner pulley which would mean that it is too loose to drive the drum.

Hope this helps

How to change dryer belt on Asko 7305 dryer

You have to pull the back off the dryer. Then you,ll be able to see how it comes off.Ussally its on two pulleys similar to a car. There may be a tensioner on it to to keep it from slipping. If there is one you,ll have to losen it to remove the belt & replace it,then tighten the tensioner back up.Ussally you keep about a 1/4" to 1/2" free play on the belt. You use a sraight edge on the two pulleys to measure it with the belt on,tighten belt tensioner till you have the recommended tighteness.
