Cotton program stuck on wash cycle with 1 minute left

Control board needs to be replaced. Many times the control boards go bad because of a spike in the electrical grid cause by a brown out, lightening strike or even a surge in the power. After the control board is replaced... I suggest using a surge protector on all of your electronic devices including the washing machine.

Wfc7500vw spins but not at high speed on final spin

This is a common problem with the Whirlpool front load machine. The motor control board goes out but the new ones have been redesigned. You will need to replace the control board. Here is a link to the control board you need.

It appears as though this is a known problem with the spin control board component, so ordering a new board should solve the problem.

E59 Error on Frigidaire front loader - won't spin

I finally solved this same problem on mine error code E59 and the main symptom of the drum never spinning even right at the beginning of the load cycle. I did Test 12 based on the following link: (MAKE SURE THE POWER CORD IS UNPLUGGED TO THE MACHINE)http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Webster/134542000.pdf. I found that the motor was fine which meant the problem was with the speed control board. On my speed control board there are 3 locations that connectors plug into it. Make sure these are all firmly connected. One of the three is a very weak press fit connection clamping over the edge of the circuit board. This had wiggled loose on my machine from all the dancing across the concrete floor in the basement this machine does. I pressed this connection in firmly, put everything back together and it started working like new!

Good luck.

Cycle starts, continual humming, no wash, no movement, just humming noises. Have to stop the wash.

If it hums from start, and it is filling fine from inlet valve, then the problem is usually timer control board or motor control unit board/motor failure.

If it gets stuck on filling forever, check also the pressure switch.

Parts must be tested before replacement.

WFD 2460 will not start wash cycle after it has filled with water

Isolate power and water supply and gain access to the main drum motor. Check for condition of carbon brushes by removing them and repla
ce if severely worn. Check wiring loom around motor and right back to module controller. The clicking is obviously power being supplied to motor via the loom to the motor. finally check for any dry solder joints or burnt areas on the circuit board controlling the motor.

Washer agitates for a time then sputters. Does not spin

In sounds to me like you have a motor issue. We have found that on these particuliar models, that the motor tries to run in both speeds at the same time. If you already replaced the control board, then you will have to get a new motor kit. This kit includes directions as well as a new wiring harness and start capacitor. You would have to remove the old motor and rewire the wiring harness (instructions included with the kit) and add the new start capacitor (instructions also included). Job is'nt really that hard to do. Front cover would be all you would need to remove to get to all the parts. Good luck and let me know how it turns out or if you need any additional help. Jim
