Powers on but no sound

If video [picture] is there, sound should be too. Check whether the audio is muted by accidental press at remote control button. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

The router is not connecting to the internet. The internet works perfectly fine but when I plug the ethernet cord into the router it wont work.

Check your computer setup. The ethernet port has to activated on your computer for it to get the router output. This is usually accomplished by going into your BIOS setup and turning it on, that is if you installed the driver during the initial setup of the computer.

I connected a 100/10 switch behind the router. The link led (uplink) flickers and data transfert through switch in drastically reduced (by factor 150) Can I connect a switch behind the Dsl rputer ?

Hi,

1. Connect one end of your Ethernet cable to one of Four 10/100Mbps Ethernet LAN Ports.

2. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable into one of the ports in the switch (try not to use the uplink port if it slows-down the connection)

Thanks

Dlink wireless windows vista

Connect an Ethernet cable to one of the 'LAN' ports on the router and to the network-port on your computer.

Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD and press ENTER
Type IPCONFIG and press ENTER.

You should get output like:

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 124.268.336.448
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 123.456.789.0

Start Internet Explorer.
Type: http://123.456.789.0
to connect to the web-server "inside" the router.

Run the "wireless network setup wizard" to configure the router
with an SSID and a password.

Save and reboot the router.

Disconnect the Ethernet cable.

Your computer should report "Wireless Networks are available".
Choose your network, and enter the password for the network.

Usb ethernet adaptor doesn't work

Good day sir, I suggest you check your Lan cable cat 5, to see if its broken, the led mean link, since it is not lit up, the line I assume is broken. Im interested on your first ethernet hardware problem, why is it, that it does not work?

I may help, I'm assuming you are using a laptop, you should get a PCMCIA lan card, which much more compatibility.

When I connect the ethernet cable to my tower, I gave an orange light. What could be causing this to happen?

What Orange light are you refering to? You have an orange and green LED on the block of the Ethernet connecter, if the cable is plugged into the plug and the other end is terminated into another deive such as a modem, bridge, router or switch the orange light(led) should come on as that indicates a valdi link hence being called the link light, the green light(led) indicates data being received or transmitted. If orange flash with sparks(bad) from the plug it means there is power on the cable..very bad as this could be due to the ethernet card that is faulty or the device on the other end of the cable is faulty.

No power led, wlan led blinking

well, what you could try is unplugging the power source from the cable modem, and the router. wait about 1 minute. then plug everything back in and wait.

i remember having this problem as well, but i think the problem with me was that my wireless computer was too far away from the wireless router, not saying that your too far or not, but that what i had, so i just pitched the wireless adapter, and created an ethernet connection. just sharing my experience.
