Hfc_32 - Hi, your system is telling you that it can't find a boot device (Your hard drive) and is trying to boot from a network instead (PXE) which doesn't exist.

Either something is wrong with your hard disk or somehow the boot device got changed in your system's BIOS.

You didn't say anything about your computer (laptop, desktop. Mac or PC?). There are a few things you should try (if you're comfortable doing it).

The easiest thing to try is to get the CD/DVD of your operating system and place it in the optical drive (with the error you described on the screen) power it down and then in turn it back on. It should boot from the OS disc and let you know if it finds your hard disk. You didn't specify your OS so we can't go any further there. Hopefully it will find your hard drive. Then you'll know that it didn't die.

If the disc doesn't see the hard drive and your PC is a desktop system (don't do any of this with a laptop) open the case and make sure the power and data cables are securely connected. Try booting again. The hard drive will be in a cage type holder usually at the front of the system.

Lastly, if the system still doesn't boot look in your system manual and find out how to get into the system BIOS. Follow the instructions and go to the Boot section and see if you hard disk is listed and if so make sure it is listed as the FIRST boot device.

To try to get into the BIOS if you don't have the manual try hitting (on separate boot attempts) at the beginning of the boot process (when you first see the white text on black boot screen just after you've applied power) first the key, then if that doesn't work, next try the key, then the key and finally try hitting the key.

Good Luck and Thank You for using 'Fix Ya'

It sounds like the hard disk is faulty, the machine is trying to boot via the network card as it cannot find a bootable disk. You could try removing the hard drive and reseating it but the disk could be dead.

Press F2 and enter setup as it looks like your device is set to boot from the network instead of your C drive. You can change the boot order in the setup.

The message you are seeing is your system trying to boot off of a network source. The boot device order has either been changed in your BIOS or the system is not seeing the hard drive with your operating system on it and is not able to boot from it.

You didn't list your PC model or make, but it appears that you have enabled the network card to boot from it's rom chip. Turn that option off in your software or pcie Bios control.
