Duo therm rv air conditioner repair

Sounds like thermostat is failing. There is a factory set resistor that helps the thermostat keep a 2 degree accuracy. Second possibility is that you have a fan or direct airflow from the cooling system, being devirted, that is allowing the cool air hit the thermostat on the wall.

Have a duo therm ac and the low ac and low fan not work -

Thermostat on wall, or manual controls at AC? Did it work for you on low before now? Reason I ask, is that normally they are only a 2 speed fan ( low and high) so if it's a wall thermostat and has been changed from original, perhaps it the way the thermostat is wired.

I have a 2005 Pilgram 27 foot 5th wheel. My Duo Therm AC unit makes a ticking sound from the ac unit itself when it's not running. Shutting off the Duo Therm analog thermostat does not stop the ticking...

It's obviously on the 12voltDC circuit of the AC unit. Sounds like thermostat, or a relay in control box is faulty or bad connection. If you remove cover on ceiling assy., you should be able to hear it in the control box. There should be a model number on the ceiling assy., get back to me with that number and I can better pinpoint which relay. Also, try moving all thermostat buttons and temperature controls back and forth quickly to see if it may clean off a dirty circuit in thermostat as well. Make sure your AC hydro breaker is off when working with ceiling assy. just to be safe.

Duo Therm compressor tries to start and kicks out

I don't think these little units have a start capacitor but what I would do is check that the on/off switch wires to make sure they aren't loose. Also check the wires to the compressor for loose wires as well. It is possible that these are the first signs that the compressor is about to fail. They also can act up some when they haven't been used for awhile and then you try and start them up. Try running the unit for a few hours without asking it to cycle. It might just be a sticky valve.

Rv air conditioning

You may have to remove your filter & look for a model # of your unit, so we can pinpoint your wiring to the thermostat. Usually the terminals on the thermostats are labeled -RC-RH- etc, and you simply move old to new of the same. A lot of times some manufacturers will use phone cable form AC unit to thermostat, and mix up the colors, that's the reason for going to the AC and see what color is used from there. It could be red from control box, connected to green wire to thermostat for example. Thats where you note it and wire accordingly.(terminal calling for red wire, would now be green) If your stumped, get back to us with that model#.

RV Dometic AC Comfort Control Double EE Problem

I have a dometic duo-therm. The unit works great and fan blows strong and both high and low work., but air is coming out of the ceiling unit rather than the duct work. The bedroom unit works OK, but the air is strong out of one duct, and not much comes out of the others. The front unit only has air coming out on the A/C unit and none out of the ducts.
