Question about Lexmark Prevail Pro705 Wireless All-In-One InkJet Printer

Color isn't printing, downloaded and up to date with drivers etc.all my cartridges are full and cleaned. What do i need to do as i've done everything.

Make sure that you're using Genuine Lexmark Cartridges. If you are, try updating the firmware of your printer. Just go to www.lexmarklabs.com/firmware and choose the model number of your printer.

After updating the firmware, try cleaning the printhead. To do that, press on the Setup button (Wrench) > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead.

The printer I have is not printing but comes in blank


Do a head cleaning with a report. Check to see that your color cartridges are recognized by the printer. Be certain your up to date with current Drivers. When done...do a full printer report on all functions. And last....when in doubt, READ THE Printer Manual.

Not printing full text on page


It sounds like you are trying to print from frames. If in doubt the simple test is try printing the windows self test page. If that prints OK then your cartridges are OK. If you sre trying to print from an internet browser - download the page first and then print it or see if there is a "printer friendly bar"

Lexmark S405 isn't printing color when I just bought new cartridges.


Make sure that you're using genuine Lexmark cartridges. Also, check if the firmware of your printer is up to date. Just go to http://bit.ly/ghfW8H to download the firmware update.


Performing a maintenance on the cartridges would also help. To do that, on the control panel of your printer, press on Setup > Maintenance > Deep Clean Printhead.

Won't Print Color Ink


INK PROBLEM
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages,then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

The magenta isn't printing correctly, and the printer keeps telling me to remove tape from the magenta cartridge. There isn't any tape on it. I've tried resetting it several times.


Its sounds as though the printer isnt picking up the cartridges properly, try removing it and cleaning the contacts on both the cartridge and the printer

I`m having problems with my black not printing. I`ve tried cleaning etc & any other program on the printer. But, no black prints out. My black is full, so I cannot understand why it isn`t printing.


You have not stated your'e printer, so aside from epson and brother group, try this:

Soak surface of the head into hot water for about 20 sec. and test it over a cloth by gliding it. Repeat process until ink is out.

Also clean contacts on both cartridge and holder with lint free damped cloth.

The black ink cannot be


Are you confident the new cartridge is full and in-date? Can you confirm that the old cartridge was not removed until immediately before the new cartridge was installed? Did you remove the yellow tape from the new cartridge before you installed it? Was the black cartridge change properly completed such that an ink charging cycle occurred? Have you carried out any head cleaning cycles? If not, do it. Have you done a nozzle check print? If not, do it. Any sign of black ink? Yes, but not perfect? If not, do a couple more head cleans and nozzle checks. If still not perfect, let it rest for 24 hours to disperse air bubbles. Then repeat.

If you have already done lots of head cleans with no result, and you're sure you have a good ink cartridge properly installed, then there are other things we can try - assuming other solutions haven't worked either. Report back on my queries etc.

Officejet d135 - "Supply Expired" error message


HP, in order to sell more ink, monitors the expiration date of the cartridges installed. Solution is either to buy a new unexpired cartridge from HP or to disable the date monitoring built in to the printer. This latter is done by removing the button cell located inside the D135 printer on the left hand side or by simply slipping a thin piece of plastic between button cell and metal contact. You will no longer have date function on printer, but it won't object to expired cartridges either.
