Since Trump Castle 3 was a game released in 1993 for the DOS operating system(operating system), that's probably why it doesn't install on Windows XP--a much newer OS. However, since it is much newer, it has several features allow it to emulate and still allow you to run it using the Program Compatibility Wizard.

To run the Program Compatibility Wizard:

1.

Click Start, and then click Help and Support.

2.

Click Fixing a problem, and then click Application and software problems.

3.

Under Fix a problem click Getting older programs to run on Windows XP.

4.

Read the instructions and then click the Program Compatibility Wizard.
Try to select DOS but if that's not an option, try Windows 95.

The wizard also allows you to try different settings, such as switching the display to 256 colors and the screen resolution to 640 x 480 pixels. The wizard will then launch your program with the selected settings, and allow you to test how the program works.

The final page of the wizard enables you to select whether to permanently apply the compatibility settings, abandon the changes, or save them and run the wizard again to apply different settings. You might need to repeat this process a few times, until you find the correct Compatibility Mode.

Hope this helps.

Trying installing the game in compatibility mode by right clicking on the EXE file on the medium used to start the install for the game and click properties. A window should pop up with a tab called Compatibility. Under compatibility mode click the check box to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" In the drop down menu click Windows 95. Then try to run the install again.

Have a windows xp home edition, want to install windows xp professional pc wont let me install as 2nd OS,explain please

On the same machine, Windows does not tolerate second OS. Ont the other hand you can install any number of OS' if it is a Linux machine. The trick is to install Windows first and then install Linux etc. The Linux boot manager will tolerate Windows and others and incorporate then with itself. But vice versa is not possible.

Hello,

Thanks for using FixYa.

The Windows XP setup is detecting that you have a current installation of Windows XP. What you need is to do a clean install. You can find information on how to clean install Windows XP here:

http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html

Make sure that you back up all your data before doing a clean install as this will delete all data on your machine.

I hope this helps. Thanks and good day.

You have to include your SATA driver into XP. Otherwise it wont detect your Hard drive. You may need a utility called nlite to do this.
I found this article very helpful to install XP on my inspiron
