Question about GE Refrigerators
The fan located behind the panel in the freezer usually is blowing air at all times this is how the cold air inside the freezer goes to the refrigerator a damper door opens and closes by a control located on the ceiling of the refrigerator usually where the light assembly is if the fan is turning slowly or going on sometimes then off I would replace the fan but before you do check for shorts in the wiring due to you saying the the light is going on and off you can also check the door switch if this is faulty this would tend to make both of these instances happen but i would lead more towards either a short in the wiring or needing a new fan If you have any further questions message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped it allows me to help others in similar situations Thanks Rick
