Question about Primo 778

1 Answer

Is there any rhyme or reason on hinge adjustment. Everytime I replace the gasket I have to loosen the bands to make the lid fit better and then the hinge doesn't seem right. Lid sort of teeters when it's open. Can't trust it to stay open.

All though this is one of the best kamodo grills on the market, it has had continual problems with hinge assembly, like you described. I heard recently, that Primo had redesigned the hinge mechanism in an effort to make it stronger. Whether it's hit the market yet, I don't know. But, I would suggest that you contact them, to see if the new hinge assembly is available as a replacement part.

Hope this helped.

Trunk wont line up to latch. Its 2 inches to the right. How to I move trunk back to left?

Loosen the bolts on the hinges and line up the trunk lid so it fits the opening with the same gap all around. Once that's done remeasure the latch distance again. Loosen the latch adjustment bolts and move slightly. Recheck and adjust until trunk opens easily with the key.

My samsung freezer door does not close all the way causing frost buildup. I have replaced the gasket and leveled the fridge.

The hinges usually have some adjustment on them. Two person job, or put something under the bottom of the door to support it. Loosen the hinges a bit, pull the door forward at the hinge which should close the gap on the other side. Tighten down the hinges and check again.

I was rear ended and though no damage to the side, the outer gas lid was loosened. i understand there is no adjustment that can be made but then is there part that be replaced so the lid is tight and

when body work is completed the lid will again fit properly as the panel that holds the lid has been put out of shape in relation to the hinge position. If it does not fit properly then the repair job was not done prpoperly

How to replace a/c air filter on 2010 camry

Hi Yip Jimmy, Depending on the type of air cleaner housing fitted to your vehicle flip back the two clips on top and open the housing, you will then be able to remove the air cleaner element and slide in the replacement. Make sure it fits in the correct, way where it seals If the earlier version is fitted, loosen the clips holding the ducting and twist the whole duct carefully to loosen it. They have a habit of breaking so be careful. Flip open the two clips and lift the lid. It has two hinged flanges on the side closest to the fender. Once it is at the correct angle, the whole lid comes off. make sure the element is fitted correctly and the seal is good all the way around and fitted correctly and reassemble. You're done! The lid does not seat squarely on the base. There is a 3/16'' gap on the hinge side. Plus the lid is offset back a bit so that it is not square on the base.

They dont always fit perfectly, To have it fit as good as possible,
put lid in down position loosen bands slightly manipulate bands to allow lid weight to close gap then retigthen bands in this position now when closed lid should sit fairly squarely on base

I have a 1990 corolla i bought recently and cant figure out why the trunk doesnt sit flush on the drivers side ive looked at the underside every thing looks good all the hinges and bars every time it...

Either someone has tried to adjust the trunk lid at some time or the car was hit in that area and not properly repaired. There is some adjustment in the trunk hinges and you could try to readjust it. simply loosen the bolts holding the trunk lid to the hinge and the bolts holding the hinge to the car and move the lid around until it seals on the gasket. Obviously you will have to do this from inside so bring a light in there with you and trust the person outside to let you out when you are done. It will be a trial and error thing so you may have to do it more than once. Hope this helps.

Remove the lid and loosen the band internally holding gasket to tub, from the top. The front come off easily once the retaining band is removed. Just reversed the process to put on the new rubber.

Main door doesn't close easily

You may well need to purchase those bottom end parts to correct your problem. But first.....

Spray the door gasket on the hinge side with a food compatible
silicon spray. (makes it slippery).

Remove the heavy items from the door, and loosen the screws on the top hinge and try to adjust the door for a better fit.

Trunk adjustment

first, make sure the new gasket is seated all the way around. If still high, loosen the 4 bolts on the deck lid hinges just enough to allow you to move the deck lid to adjust it. You might want to mark an outline around the hinge on the deck lid before you start.
