Paintball gun

Paintball guns that are semi-automatic are generally more reliable and rugged than their electronic counterparts as they have a smaller number of moving parts. They are particularly preferred by beginner and intermediate level players who are discovering how to play the game, relying on a reliable gun rather than player skills. My Tac-5 Recon marker does not shoot the paintballs. I cock the marker and after I pull the trigger I can feel and hear the spring action but no paintballs are launched. When I attached the CO2 tank I did...

take the hammer and bolt out, clean them and oil them with paintball oil (no motor oil or WD-40)
air tool oil also works, but besides paintball and air tool oil, never use anything else.

the bolt is in the front of the marker, it is what pushes the paintball from the breach into the barrel. the hammer will be towards the back. its been years since i have touched a tac-5

easiest way to oil is just to put a few drops in the asa (where you attach the tank) and dry fire with the barrel off a dozen times. this will get the oil everywhere it needs to be.

if you can take it apart and clean it i would still recommend that

This a genesis lethal threat paintball gun I just got it and I am new to paintball what size paintball do I get for my gun please get back to me as soon as possible thank you

First off do you have a hopper and an air tank or co2 tank with air or co2 in it. If no get those things and fill your tank at a local paintball field. If yes your gun takes a .68 caliber paintball. That's really any paintball that you can buy at Walmart or sports authority.

The Hasbro Tiger TV paintball game will not work on HD (high def.) tv. I was having the same problem and decided to try it on an older tv and it worked properly. My grandson loves it. Hope this works for you!

Inconsistent velocity, and my velocity adjuster doesn't seem to be working

This is caused when a gun needs cleaning and-or O-rings are worn.
Tear down the gun and clean the lube with the special paintball gun oils
and reassemble. See if it is better. CO2 is terrible for paintball guns.
Go with HPA (High Pressure Air, aka Nitrogen) and this will help.

this is gonna kinda sound dumb. but did you remember to pull the cocking handle back after you put on your tank? and is your tank screwed on tight?

When i put my paintballs in the gun and i aim down they fall out the top where they shoot from

Sound like your ball detent is gone or broken.

The detent is a tiny piece of rubber that keeps the paintballs in the chamber and from rolling out the barrel. It's a cheap part, but you will need basic knowledge of disassembling a Tippmann 98 to replace it.

You can find ball detents here!

I fire the gun and it doesnt wanna stay cocked i have to **** it every time i wanna fir

One.. dirty...

Two.. no lube/wrong lube...

Three.. no air...

or any combination of the above. Make sure you have a full tank, clean the marker and use paintball-specific oil to lube the internals. The 98 is a very dependable marker and I'm sure once you have the basics down you'll find it very reliable.

Good luck!

Play hard, play safe, play with honor!

There are many things to take care of the paintball gun. The good thing is that with paintball gun so much choice available, you should always be able to find a marker that meets your requirements perfectly. To get the details about each and everything you can refer to Best Paintball Guns.

Paintball gun is rapid firing when trigger is pressed. CO2bottle is full and i have tried other bottles but stillth same.

Tippmanns are known for their reliability and are very simple markers making them very easy to repair. you need oil from a local paintball shop or regular sewing machine oil will do.

On one side of the marker there is a little "handle" for cocking the gun, pull that handle as far back as you can and you will see 1 o-ring. put 2 drops of oil on it and fire it a couple times without paintballs to test it. This solves the problem 9/10 for tippmanns, if not..

Sometimes paintballs can break inside your gun. Look and feel inside your breech (where the paintballs go into the gun) and check for paint. If its dirty this can be causing your problem, strip it down and clean it (refer to your manual if you have difficulty)
