Last week after a storm, the power went out in my home, but then it came right back on. Since then, the tv has a continuous flashing green light without turning back on. Tried resetting, that didn't work :( tried unplugging for 30 minutes, & that didn't work :( Kept pluggeg in over night, but the green light was still flashing :( I read that it could be a bad DM moldule. Does it sound like that could be the problem?

The green light flashing is an error code. Count the number of flashes and it will tell the issue. Write back once you've counted the flashes. Also, was the TV having any issues before this? Was there a recent storm or power surge?
I recently had a proview television delivered to my home from rent-a-center they said they lost the remote and brought it any way. Need I remin you this was suppose to be a replacement television from the last television we got that only lasted a week and then blew out. Now they did not explian much just said they don't have tghe remote about an hour after they left the tv went blank and we have no remote or power button. Tried looking it up on the internet the procedure to turn it on because I honestly just don't know and can't get no answer. Is there somebody out there that can explian how this television works?
I have two RCA HD52W59 TV's. I have had one for 3 years and one 4 years. The one I have had for 4 years is giving me the problem. Last week the tv turned off while watching it. It wouldnt come right back on. 10 minutes later we tried and it worked fine. the other night the kids were watching and it turned off and smelled like something burning. I tried turning it right back on and got no power at all. I tried to turn it on two days later and it made a buzzing noise and the green light went out. Never did get a picture, no powering up on the screen. Any ideas? Don't want to spend alot of money. Really loved the TV hope it isnt junk now. Better yet I hope the same thing doesnt happen to the other one I have.
Good Day, charliek1;
This a very common problem with model. Don't listen to other comments unless the use the correct replacement parts.
SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in. CURE: replace C9B01, C9B02,C9B10, and C9B11 (1000 uFD 16V) on the DM PCB. Replace them with part # 181P734030 (680uFd 16V). The DM Board (PCB) is located on the very left side of the TV looking from back. Caution on removing Board and note what cables you disconnect to access the Metal Shielded Board. Good Luck, big IRISH.
The continues blinking 99.9 % of the time is four caps on your DM board. The caps are C9B01,C9B02,C9B10 and C9B11 they use 1000UHF the upgrade caps are 680 UHF- 35V. The board is on the very left hand side (from back).
I have performed this repair at least 50 times and it takes me still about 1.5 hours. If you are not handy and do not have a solder station, I would recommend that you call a factory authorized service dealer to perform this repair. With service call and ect. it will cost you around $550.00 and the repair can be done in the home, of course prices varies across the country.
Good Luck, Day, Big Irish.
