When you plug it on your USB port it should display on "My computer" as a removable disk or as a camera, then you could browse the folders inside and copy your photos. if it doesn't maybe you need to install the drivers for your camera.

Are you taking the battery out for any reason? Taking the battery out for an extended period of time will sometimes reset the time/date settings.

I have a dsc-w150 digital camera, no usb cord. how can i transfer my pictures to laptop?

You'll need a card reader to transfer the data to your PC.
These days most laptops and printer has built in card reader. But since Sony camera's use memory stick, some of them don't support memory stick. So,
  • First check whether or not your printer or laptop has memory stick support, if has then use it to transfer you images. Otherwise you've to purchase a memory card reader with memory stick read support[should be available on any nearby electronic shop].
  • Then remove your memory stick from your camera and connect it with your laptop.
  • Open the memory card and copy your images.

On some cameras, once you activate and use the internal memory, the regular memory card no longer works properly. You need to format the internal memory with no card in the camera to get your card to work again.

Installation cd is cracked to download picture from camera to computer. need instructions for dsc-w150/w170. Is it possible to download installation from the web.

Doing a search on Sony's website for your camera got me the following link:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=DSCW150&SelectOS=7#div_pos_124

It says that if you lost your installation CD, use the Picture Motion Browser software download tool.

Good luck.

Transfering photos from my compuer photo gallery to my camera

Make sure photo files name must be under DSC00001 to DSC99999
connect your camera to computer, click My Computer, Removable Disk, Folder and copy photo files from computer and paste in that folder. If file name is different, camera will not show it in playback though file is in memory stick.

Internal memory

Hi,
Insert memory card in camera, go to camera menu, there is option Copy, select copy and transfer images from internal memory to memory stick.
2nd option is connect camera to computer by usb link without memory stick, go to my computer then removable disk, then picture folder, copy pictures and paste them on My Pictures.
Need further help, let me know.
