It may be a faulty fan sensor

I had a plasma which had similar problems and it was the sensor on the fan that was the culprit, not the fan. Maybe check that they are working with a multimeter

RCA M50wh72s lamp keep blowing bulb

There are a few things that can cause this. First, ensure that the bulb you are installing is the correct one for the unit. Many are similar and the wrong one can cause problems. Second, ensure that you do not touch the bulb\'s glass surfaces with your fingers when handing the bulb for installation. The oils on your fingers will get onto the bulb, causing hot spots and premature failure. Next, ensure that the cooling fan for the unit is working. The bulb generates high heat when operating and the fan provides cooling to ensure the bulb\'s long life. A defective fan will cause bulb failure. Lastly, ensure that when you power the set off you do so with the power switch. This allows the cooling fan to continue to operate for a while to ensure the bulb cools properly. If you remove power at a power strip or pull the plug, the fan stops immediately and the bulb will not cool down evenly.

My 1999 oldsmobile siloutte gauge sometimes says its overheating and fans wont come on till its at the red. my overheat indacator light does not come on and it has a good bulb and use to come on but not...

check for a bad thermostat or an air pocket in the cooling system...your fans should come on any time you turn on the air conditioning....check to see that both fans are coming on by doing this....trapped air is common because of the odd configuration of the cooling system...turn on all heaters and place fans on high...warm up the engine then add distilled water or dexcool to your engine coolant canister....rev a few times to pump coolant into heater cores.....good luck and be cautious when working on your engine please...

My toshiba keeps cutting off after being on for a few minutes I removed the battery and have just the ac adapter plugged and it will still cut off after being on for a minute or 2

try cleaning the cooling fan intake of dust or other material that is keeping this laptop from cooling the processor or the fan needs replaced. let me know how you make out or find. it should be 1 or the other.

Sounds like the fan is making a whirring sound for first few minutes after boot up

You should visually inspect the fan (inside and outside the case) to check for dust clogging things up. Very often dust will accumulate on the fans and cause them to slow down, make funny noises, or it will collect on the processor heat sink and cause the computer to run hotter than normal, indirectly causing the fans to work harder to cool the system. If there's no visible dust accumulation, try downloading the newest BIOS for your machine from Dell's support website. A BIOS update may fix the problem by addressing the thermal sensor on the motherboard. Or... you might have a failing fan or thermal sensor.

Air conditioning works when car first starts up (Volvo s40) then stops cooling after a while (usually when I am stopped in traffic) -- then if I turn it off and back on after a few minutes it works again....

It sounds like your cooling fans are not working.Need to check the cooling fan fuses, and the cooling fan relays. There is also a high side switch mounted somewhere on the high side of the ac system that cuts the fans on,or kicks them up on high speed when the ac system gets to high on the high side of the system. This switch may also cut the compressor off.I would check the fuses and relays for these fans first, this is more likely the problem. Is the car running normal temperature? If not the fans may not be running at all.Have them checked. The fan or fans may be bad them selfs. If I can be any more help, let me know.>>

Projector keeps shutting off and red light comes on

We had a projector at our church that was hooked up to a light switch to turn it on or off and it kept burning the bulbs out. We had an expert come in and look over our situation and he said When you are finished with the projector let the fan keep blowing until the unit cools down. Ours had a switch for the bulb as well as one for the fan. We turned out the bulb and left the fan on for an extra ten to fifteen minutes. That let the bulb cool down gradually If you just cut the power the bulb over heats and will burn out. Yes turning on for a few minutes will burn it our quicker as well. Hope this helps.

Dell 1100mp "Temp" Light

I had the same problem and fixed it today. The fan is 70 x 70 x 20mm. I could not find the exact one, but 70 x 70 x 15 works just fine and I was able to find that fan at a Micro Center store for $8.99. The fans should be blowing air out from the front of the machine, not blowing in on the lamp.
