Question about Cell Phones

1 Answer

When Iset my my phone up it works fine for a few hours but next morning the message displayed on the screenis"System is starting up instead of my Skype name and credit Balance which was displayed when I had finished phoning the UK. I noticed when it is working OK there is one green LED lit below th RJ cable but when it is displaying System is starting up there is a Second LED displayed above the RJ cable. I have tried resetting the Base unit power and disconnecting the router waiting 20/30 secs and then switching back on and the phone will work the way it shows but it always goes back to System is starting up by the next day. What do you reckon. I'm slowly going bananas!!!

My Jimmy is having a hard time starting, sometimes it dosen't.

Sounds like your problem might be with the VATS anti theft system. Does your truck have the chip in the key? If so you might just need the ignition lock cylinder changed out. There are 2 very small wires that run from the lock cylinder down the column and plug in under the dash. After time the wires insulation will get brittle and crack. The wires read the resistance of the diode chip that is in the key and send the signal to the VATS computer witch tells the ECM weather to send the signal to the fuel pump or not. On a cold moist morning the resistance signal can be interrupted or the resistance lever raised enough for the computer to get an improper signal. Your vehicle is thinking that an improper key is being used to try and start the vehicle. A replacement lock cylinder can be purchased for around $80 at your local part store and you will need to take your current key and the new cylinder to a lock smith to have the pins in the new cylinder changed to fit your current key. This way all of your current keys will still work the vehicle instead of having to pay $40 for each new key. Anyway, after you have the new cylinder working with you old key simply take it in to have it changed out, shouldn't take any competent mechanic with the right tools more than an hour to change out.

Avaya Partner Phone System Programming

Programming Without Button Overlays:
Although it is advisable to have a Partner programming manual and overlays when performing changes. Here are the basic steps for changing system time, day and date. The "Feature" key is self explanatory while other keys need a reference. "System Program" key is the left intercom key on the phone. The "Central Tel" key is the right intercom key. The "Next Data" key is the third key from the left with an LED on the top row of an 18 Button display set. Numbers # and * are simply entered as numbers of the dial pad.

Avaya Partner System Date Program #101

Use this program to set the month, day and year. 2000 Grand Cherokee random messages now wont start sometimes think its lazy

first answer
take it in and have the fault codes read
from the random faults on the display , I would be looking for problem ground wires , rusted loose bad wire connection , dirty battery terminals /posts or loose
random indicates connections and could be water in the ECM connections or problem ECM
if you can , borrow a working ecm from somewhere and install it in place of yours as it is possible a failing ecm unit
What ever you find it will cost something to fix unless you have a good friends network

My phone is displaying an "A" where the # of messages is usually displayed. I am also not able to leave a message.

Apparently your system is set to announce instead of record. Without knowing the model of your system I can't tell you how to change it. Enter the model of your VTech phone into the search box at
http://www.vtechphones.com/vtechphones/index.cfm/support/general/manuals/
to download a copy of the manual.

After charging my nuvi 1450LMT for four hours, I disconnected it from the power cord and left it overnight. When I turned it on the next morning, I got the Garmin logo, then a white screen flashed on...

How did you charge it? If you did not use a high power USB charger, try that overnight. A USB charger provides a lot more powr than your PC. Leave it plugged in and off overnight.

If that does not work, Amazon sells battery replacement kits.

Message Indicator light displayed when there is no message

Don't know if you configured your CM server or not but there are two numbers that control the MWI. One number activates the lamp and the other turns it off. This is configured when you configure the system so I can't tell you what your numbers are. If you're using CM and not CME it's under the voice mail tab. Simply dial the number that turns the lamp off from the phones in question.

Oh and next time if you have an issue try restarting the CM service first instead of rebooting the box.
