Thanks DHINCE10 I managed to download an updated driver which now allows both computers use the router. However still can't use the 11n side of the router.

Also for some reason now I have to re-start the router as it stops seeing the internet. This has only just started to happen.

I'm starting to think this is a pain in the **** router

What you can at first check your router setting if there is a security set only for 1 computer and a pass key. If there is any, configure it to make the second laptop connect to the router.

If the default password on the D-Link has been changed then-
To reset the D-Link back to the default settings -
Press and hold the RESET button at the back of the router with the power ON untilthe LEDs flash at the time the release the RESET button.
Connect a LAN cable from the D-Link to your laptop/computer's LAN port, openthe browser on your laptop/computer and enter the D-Link's configuration URL..
http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop withthe router's wireless settings.

Hai I have a D-link dir-600 wireless router on which the wireless is not working, i get an exclamation mark beside the wireless symbol in my system tray . i tried logging in to the router (192.168.0.1)...

Have you try resetting your Router? If not, try pressing the small pinhole at the back of the router for at least 15 seconds and log-in as administrator (that's UN: admin and PW: admin). Configure the network protocol such as network keys and save it.
Turning off the router for at least 15 seconds before turning it on again will help. If problem persists, I would say it's in your Wireless device in your laptop that is having a problem. Try removing its driver in Device Manager window, then do a "Scan for Hardware Changes" in the same window. This will automatically detect your Wireless Device (which you have just removed) and re-install it.

Netgear WGT624 V3 Wireless Router Problems by BigG2 - January 16, 2007 1:17 AM PST

Hi Guys/Gals,

My wireless connection is not working and i cannot log on to it, I have connected a Netgear WGT624 V3 Wireless Router to my Motorola SurfBoard SB5101E Modem which is connected to Telewest Cable Broadband (internet works fine if i access directly through the modem), on the router the power light is lit and also the internet light flashes rapidly but the wireless light comes on for a couple of
seconds and then goes out - i think this is the problem? I have tried logging on to the router to check the wireless settings but cannot access it, i have also tried connecting directly via LAN but cannot get this to work either although i am not sure if i have connected it correctly?

Any ideas/comments/advice is very much appreciated!!

Thanks in advance,

I have a 2wire router from AT&T, all lights are green, except the "wireless" light. It's not on, how do I become wireless?????

Hi dilex
The 2wire router wireless light comes only when a system is connected to it wireless.

Please post the system that you are using and also what exactly when you try to connect via wireless.

Thank you

Unable to connect to my wireless network connection (SSID still VISIBLE)

Log on to the router, go to your wireless setup page. Disable wireless, reboot it and when it comes back up, enable wireless once more with a different pre-shared key. You'll need obviously to enter this new key into your laptops. Let me know if this solves the problem.

Internet connection

dear kandy

So you can't even ping a website, right?

A few suggestions and questions to try to isolate the source of the problem:

1. Are you going through a wireless Access Point connected to a wired router, or are you just using a wireless router? Please post the exact makes/models of your wireless devices.

2. When the Internet access dies, can you at least ping the IP of the router and/or Access Point, or the IPs of any of the other computers on the internal network?

3. Check your system log files to see if Windows is recording any error messages related to the connection drops in those logs:

Open the Event Viewer utility in your Administrative Tools control panel.

In the Event Viewer, look through the System and Application logs for entries flagged as "Warning" or "Error"; double-clicking on any of those entries will open a "details" window with more information about the error/warning. If you find any entries that seem to relate to network errors, post the full and exact contents given in the detail windows.

4. To determine if the problem lies specifically with your wireless connection or with your network software in general, connect the laptop to the router via an Ethernet cable and see if you still experience the problem.

oke i have this post can help you
