Question about HP LaserJet P2015dn Printer

1 Answer

Hp laserjet p2015dn prints one page and then goes offline. i delete the job, then turn printer off. Sometimes, it will show online and sometimes offline. Also, when I shut printer off the light may stop at one of the other positions in stead of the ready light. If I shut the printer off, the lights may set at ready or may not. I have tried changing the usb cable and downloading the latest software. But nothing seems to work.

Known issue with these printers. The formatters fail at an alarming rate. At one point HP was replacing them under an Extended Service Advisory, but they have discontinued that program. You could try calling and raising a stink and they might do something for you. Otherwise, check on Ebay, likely someone is selling used formatters.

  • If the printer supports expandable memory, you can install additional memory in the form of a DIMM. Check the printer's User Guide to see if it supports additional memory.
  • Break complex print jobs into smaller jobs that contain fewer pages.
  • If the printer is an MFP, delete stored faxes to increase available memory. Go to this document for instructions: HP LaserJet Pro MFP - Delete faxes from memory (ID: emr_na-c03264743)

Use the following guidelines if you use the page description language (PDL) ability to mark resources as permanent. For technical details, see an appropriate PDL reference for PCL or PS.
    • Mark resources as permanent only when it is absolutely necessary that they remain in memory while the product is turned on.
    • Send permanent resources to the product only at the beginning of a print job and not while the product is printing.
NOTE: Overusing permanent resources or downloading them while the product is printing might affect product performance or the ability to print complex pages.

My Hp laserjet p3005 drops offline and cant print, any help

    Hi,

Go to system settings and select the 'Printer' option.

Right-click on the printer and enable the 'Use Printer Online' function.

Cancel all the printing jobs till that moment and redo the process.

Sometimes the 'Printer Offline' message occurs due to a 'Job Stuck' issue.

Check all network connections and functions.

Be sure the network interfaces work properly.

Turn the printer off and on to see whether the device is working properly.

Cannot change the offline status of my HP printer. It will print a diagnostic page. Also a job is stuck mid-deletion and will not go away.
