If you think it's a connection problem, go check out the Connection Settings in the Wii settings menu. Run a connection test, and make sure your settings are correct. Re-enter your WEP key and such if you're using things like that.

Error Code: 051030

The only wireless network within range of your Wii console is not configured or is not compatible with the Wii.

* If you are getting this error after completing a system update, this is usually because the console resets to using the first connection slot after an update. There are two things you can do:

o If you know which connection file you were using before, you can select that connection file, then select "Use this connection" to change that to the default. You will need to do this each time they download an update.

o If you don't know which connection file you are using, or if you would prefer not to update the active connection file each time, try to clear, and then re-create your connection setting in slot one before doing the remaining troubleshooting.

* Check for interference that may be preventing a successful connection. Click here for tips.

* Check to see if the router you are using is a known to be incompatible. Click here to view our list. If your router is known to be incompatible, we recommend using a different router if possible.

* Make sure that the SSID (network name) matches exactly to what you have entered in the Wii console's settings. To verify:
1. Login to your router's settings (click here and select your router, if available, for information).
2. Look for the section for SSID (typically in the "wireless settings" area).
3. After you find the SSID (network name), verify in the manual settings of the Wii console that the SSID appears exactly as listed in the consumer's router. This includes making sure capitalization, spaces, or special characters match exactly.

* Look up your router, if available, in our list of wireless routers, and check for any special notes that may be necesary to get the connection to work properly.

* The router may not be assigning an IP address to the Wii console, and a connection using the "Manual Settings" may be necessary. Click here for help.

* Your router may require a firmware update to work properly with the Wii console. Firmware updates can usually be found on the router manufactruer's website; consult the manufacturer for more information.

* If the problem persists, try our general troubleshooting steps.

Wireless Channel
If there are other wireless devices in the area, they can interfere with the signal so much that the Wii console will not be able to connect to the router. Changing the wireless channel on your router may help. Most wireless routers have a channel range of 1 through 11. The best channels to try are usually 1, and 11, as they do not overlap with other channels. Typically, the channel settings for your router will be found in the router's main "Wireless" tab. =D

Wii u error code 204965

This code, among others, is a general error code in response to the Wii or Wii U being unable to connect to a Nintendo Shopping Channel server. If no other devices have internet connectivity issues through your wireless network, then the Nintendo server is not working at the moment. If you are attempting to connect on Monday or pre-dawn on Tuesday, the server is likely undergoing weekly maintenance which can last up to 4 hours.
---
I know, right? 4 hours every week? I guess Nintendo doesn't have the type of management that concerns itself with why Shop Channel sales drop drastically on Mondays or why return rates skyrocket on Tuesdays. Frustrating!
---
Anyway, if you are among the unlucky to have received Wii points or a digital game for Christmas in 2013, put it away and figure out a way to play with the scarf your granny got you. The server has been down for over 24 hours and is showing no sign of recovery anytime soon.

Wii will not connect with server. Error code: 051030

1RepairStop.com

Error Code: 051030
Unable to connect to your wireless network
Likely cause: Your wireless router may need to be power cycled, or the connection settings have changed.
How to fix: Power cycle your router; redo the connection settings on the Wii and try again.
  • Did this connection used to work but has suddenly stopped? "Power cycle" your router and modem. To do this, unplug both the modem and the router from the power outlet. Wait a few minutes, and plug the modem back in. Wait a couple of minutes for the modem to initialize, then plug in the router. Try to connect the Wii, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo 3DS online and test for proper response.

  • Erase your old connection settings on the Wii and set up a new one, as your router's settings may have changed since you last connected. We suggest following our guide to create a new connection file and start over. If at the end you still need help, you'll find contact information to reach our specially-trained representatives.

I am trying to download the netflix app on the nintendo wii from the wii shop channel online and I keep getting the error code:204965

There may be a problem with your connection on the Wii. I would try erasing the connection on the Wii and starting over. If that still doesn't work, when is the last time you updated?
The Wii may not be able to use the wireless it has because of the broadcast channel from the router. You would need to go into the routers settings and change the channel to either 1 or 11. The default is usually 6 but that tends to be weak. Retry the connection.

I just signed up for netflix and am trying to hook it up to my wii to watch movies. The wii is properly connected and hooked up, and we have a wireless internet connection in my home, however when i go to...

Error code 51030 means you Wii is unable to connect to your wireless network.
Try unplugging your modem and wireless router, then plugging them back in after a couple minutes.
While you're waiting for your modem and router, delete your network setting from your Wii, and set them back up once your router and modem are back up.
Your wireless router's setting might have changed and your Wii might not be able to properly connect.

Keep getting error code 051030 unable to connect to server. we have wireless in our home which is working.

051030 is a 'too busy' error, so it's probably an issue with Nintendo's servers rather than your wii.
In this case all you can is try again later.

It can also be caused by interference of other wireless networks in the neighbourhood. If this is the case try changing the WLAN channel of your wii to 11, as most routers default channel is 6, this will give your fequency a bit of seperation from the other wireless connections.
