Is mic jack in lenovo SL410 stereo?

From what I could see from the Specs of Lenovo SL410, it only takes a 3.5 mm Microphone Plug. You could always use a 3.5 mm Stereo Audio Mic Jack and use Software like Audacity for Stereo Audio Recordings.

Broken pin stuck in S-Video port

1.) Find a needle 2.) On a hard surface, bend the very tip of the needle slightly so that it forms a tiny barb. 3.) heat the tip of the needle with a lighter until it glows red hot. 4.) stick the needle into the plastic core of the broken RCA pin 5.) wait a few seconds for it to cool 6.) pull the needle out, and the broken tip should follow!

How to connect dish tv to my laptop? It has inbuilt tv tuner.

Your Lenovo laptop can be hooked up your TV if you have a model that is capable of TV output. Newer models with HDMI ports can easily connect to newer TVs that have HDMI input jacks. For older laptops or TVs, you will need other adapters or cables. The most common of these is an S-video jack, which has a small round connector with several pins arranged in a circle. For S-video connections, you will need to hook up the audio from your laptop to your TV separately.

Things You'll Need

HDMI cable

USB-to-HDMI adapter

OR

S-video cable

Audio cables

HDMI Connection

Turn on your Lenovo laptop and HDMI-enabled TV.

Connect one end of your HDMI cable to the HDMI port on your laptop. Lenovo's IdeaPad series has these ports. If you have a ThinkPad or other Lenovo model, connect a USB-to-HDMI adapter to your HDMI cable, then plug the USB end of the adapter into any USB port.

Press the "FN" and "F7" keys on your keyboard. This will switch the laptop's display to the TV. You can then use your TV screen as a monitor or use the laptop's DVD drive to watch movies on your TV.

S-Video Connection

Turn off your laptop and TV. Connect your S-video cable to the laptop on one end and the TV on the other.

Plug audio cables into your audio out jacks on the laptop. If you do not have stereo audio output, you can use the headphone/speaker jack. Add a splitter adapter to split the sound into stereo instead of mono (single speaker). Plug the other ends of the audio cables into your TV.

Turn on the laptop and let it boot up. Then turn on the TV. Right-click on your desktop screen, then select "Properties."

Click the "Settings" tab, the "Advanced" button, then "ATI displays" or "Display device" or the similarly worded option, depending on your system. It is not the "On screen displays" option in any version.

Click on the option that suits your system, such as "TV" or "LCD." Click "Apply," then "Yes" to confirm, if necessary. Click "OK" to exit. Your display should be visible on the TV screen. If not, try pressing "FN" and "F7" to toggle the display to the external screen.

I conect my lenovo laptop Y 410 with Panasonic THP42C10 D for Vidio There are no sound in TV

Hi dr_piyushpat,

I see that you conencted your Lenovo Y410 to a Panasonic THP42c10 LCD TV, see details below.

*The Audio will dpened on what cable connection you have from the Laptop to the LCD TV,
*You have Y410 I do not think that HDMI will be an option.
*I believe that you are using the VGA port on the Machine for an extended Video.
*The Audio will really not be coming out of the Panasonic TV if you are using a VGA cable since that is only for Video you will need an audio cable Jack that will relay audio from the Laptops Audio Jack to the Audio Jack of your Panasonic TV thsi is the only way you can get audio out from the Laptop since you are conencted using a VGA cable.

* do not think that HDMI is present on your Lenovo Y410, but if ever you may have that connection/port the way to get Audio from an HDMI conenction is to change the audio PLayback properties and selct HDMI as the default device for the Audio to work using HDMI.

I hope that this helps.

have a nice day,

mvincentc

Hi,

You can simply right click on the Audio icon on the lower right side of the screen or on the task bar and go to your Audio Properties where you can disable audio devices such as the headset, or microphone or simply input/output audio devices.

Try It! ?

Headphone jack broke off inside

yes, you could easily open the computer and physically remove the wires from the mother board for the front audio jack. These are pin headers. Most all the time they are labeled.

The rear audio should already be working from the green jack. If not, then perhaps you have the RealTek Audio chipset and software. The realtek audio software generally has a orange speaker icon in the system tray. You can double click to open it, go to the Audio I/O tab and then click the little wrench icon. It will open the connector setting. On the connector settings screen is a checkbox. Disable front panel jack detection. Uncheck that, also a check box for Mute rear panel output when fron headphone plugged in, UNCHECK this. That should do it.

If you want to try further to remove the broken jack make sure the machine is off, use a very tiny needle nose pliers (electronic type) you should be able to pull it out.

What kind of computer do you have? You could also possibly remove the jack assembly from the inside, so you can get a better view for the extraction of the plug.
