In order to use bluetooth with your receiver, you need to purchase the Kenwood KCA-BT200 Bootooth Interface. These are readily available online and can be had for $100-$150:

http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&hl=en&biw=1680&bih=665&tbs=shop:1&q=Kenwood+KCA-BT200&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=d57722a22572de1d

Once you have this device, or assuming you already do, the processes of paring the device is simple. The device should already be in the discovery mode. By searching for the device using your cellphone, it should come up as "KCA-BT200". It will require a pin code, which is most likely "0000". You should now be Paired.

If all else fails, here is the owners manual for your deck:

and the owner manual for the BT200 (this site is terrible, but has a download for your manual):

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

New kenwood kdc-mp242 installed turns on but no sound

The Blue/White wire, Brown wire, and Blue wire???? These don't have to be connected unless you are using a separate Power Amp...if you are, then the Blue/White wire needs to be used to switch on the power amp. Here is a link to Kenwood for your KDC-MP242 Instruction Manual. Reference page 16.
