HOW DO I CHANGE THE HEATING ELEMENT OF THE FRIGIDAIRE RANGE

Good Afternoon JOES, thanks for your post!

I understand that you want to change the heating element on the inside of your Frigidaire range. In order to research and provide you accurate information I would need your model number. You can locate the model number on your serial tag which is located on the frame behind the lower drawer. With that information I can better assist you. -Matt

What oven heating element?

Hello Mary, I am happy to assist you!

I understand that you are unable to read the model number in the storage drawer of your Frigidaire range and that you are seeking the replacement part number for the element in your oven. Are you needing the bake or broil element? Do you remember if you register your range? In this regard, I would highly recommend reaching out to the manufacturer directly to verify if indeed your range was register in order to provide you the correct part number. Best regards - Z

Replaced the baking element in my frigidaire oven but it still isnt working

Good Morning Karenand, thank you for your post!

I see that you have replaced the bake element in your Frigidaire range but it is still not working. If you wouldn't mind please providing me your model number, I can better address the issue at hand. The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located in the storage drawer, on the right side.

Meanwhile, I recommend resetting your range. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn your range on. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, your range could be experiencing other issues such as: a communication problem with the EOC (Electronic Oven Control), an open thermal fuse or a potential wiring failure.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your range status has changed successfully.

Best of luck!

Top and bottom heating element does not work on Frigidaire electric range ES300

Usually when both elements are not working and everything else is working fine, the problem is your OCU (oven control unit), commonly known to consumers as the clock.
The clock controls the oven and most times does not produce an error code when it fails.
You will need the actual model number from a sticker located on the oven frame when you open the bottom drawer, the sticker will have the model and serial number clearly listed.
Do a Google search for that model number and find the clock.
I've provided a link for what probably is the proper clock but without the full model number I can't say for sure:

Heating element in Frigidaire range, model number FEFL64FSD.

Either the bake element is bad or the clock / control is bad. Element can be tested with an ohms meter

Bottom element stays on oven continues to heat. Temp guage preset stops at setting but element does not got off.

You do not list a model number, but this condition is generally caused by welded contact points in the electronic control. (requires electronic control replacement)

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR APPLIANCE before beginning any service procedure.
To the best of my knowledge you can replace the heating element with a genuine part from Frigidaire, this happened to me on my water heater and the element just got old and too hot and it just popped and left one to three holes in the element and I just replaced it. I would have it done by an appliance specialist or your local appliance repair person. When ordering the part remember to give the Brand name, Model # and they might ask for the Serial #. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local appliance dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
