Cant get power on sega cd 2. hooked up with genesis 1 console. both ac adapters work and genesis works fine. don't see any fuse inside sega cd

the fuses are solid state fuses, one is a small white top surface fuse on the bottom of the board the other is a green "resistor" looking fuse. both are marked with Fxxx ( the x's are numbers) check them with a meter for continuity so you dont change a good one.

My sega genesis has a clear picture but static sound can someone help?

Try an older TV set. I am not joking. It might very well be the case that newer TV sets/high-end TV systems can't handle the signals of the older video game consoles. Because the newr tv;s don't have the signal transfer inside of them to make the old consoles work so you could use the genesis av cables to hook up to a digital tv instead of the rf switch.

Bought a Sega Genesis on ebay. It displays the games correctly but will not respond to the controller. The controller has been tested to work with another system. What could be causing this?

Its the controller ports inside of the system that controlls the controllers to function is broken or loose then and needs to be resoldered. I had a problem with my sega after i resoldered the 2nd controller port it worked again then.

Hi can you tell me what amp fuse do i replace for the internal fuse on the pal sega mega cd 2 please

The fuse labeled F301 inside the MEGACD is 2.5A. It is beige in colour( US Mega CD 2) OR Bright Green (PAL Mega CD 2).

Most guides I have seen say to replace it with an 850mA, and never anything exceding 2A

Sega genesis isnt working...

Have you cleaned the Sega? What I mean is where the casset game goes. Push down the little flap, and there should be a little strip with contacts on the inside. Just clean it with a cotton swab and alcohol. And also, clean all your games also the same way.

Hope this helps.

Sega console

If there is no response it sounds like there is a bad connection between console and controller. I would clean the connectors. If that doesn't work take the controller apart and make sure the wire is connected well to the board inside the controller. You can try to unconnect it and reconnect it. Clean the board inside, that might help.
