Thank you for using FixYa,

On my Logitech mouse the release button is on the back and you slide it with one hand and pick up on the front panel with your finger nail and it should come open. Not under the scroll bar, but the front of the mouse is where it opens.

I hope this was a help to you and please comment if it resolved your issue.

    Hi,
Unfortunately my Logitech Wireless Mouse M180 has a release button which can be only pushed, so I could not open the front panel! Thank for your help anyway!

How do I open wireless logitech mouse to change batterie. I do not want to break anything by forcing it open

hold your hand on the bottom of the mouse on the battery door and then your other hand on top of the mouse and push that hand outwards while pulling back with your other hand.

How do I change the batteries? I'm afraid I'll break it.

There are a few ways most wireless mice open up.

#1: The back of the mouse slides off when pushing down and back from the center of the mouse.

#2: There is a latch or a button underneath the mouse that will release the top cover to reveal the batteries.

#3: There is a latch on a door underneath the mouse that will reveal the batteries.

Where do I change the batteries for my mouse? I can't find where the batteries go.
Answer

This article applies to the following products:
All Logitech cordless mice

For some cordless mice or trackballs, there is a slot for the battery door on the bottom of the mouse. Between the slot and the outside edge of the door is a thin strip of plastic. If you compress this thin strip of plastic towards the slot, the catch on the door will release and the door should open.

On other mice, the battery door is on the top of the mouse. Simply slide the top of the mouse cover down and lift the door up. There should be an etched diagram on the door indicating which direction to slide the door.

Once you have opened the battery door, remove the old batteries and dispose of them according to your local waste disposal regulations. Then insert the new batteries into the battery compartment using the diagram in the compartment as a guide. When you have finished inserting the batteries, replace the battery door.

Where does the battery go and how to open it?

Usually on the under side of the mouse there is a battery door, if not there than on the TOP side of the mouse the palm part usually detaches (slides back) to access the batteries. Most wireless mice require 2 AA batteries. Some times there is a slide button on the bottom that releases the palm portion of the top of the mouse - I have seen this in the new logitech mouses.

Changing batteries on a logitech lx5 mouse

turn off the mouse using the switch on the bottom.
press the battery door release button on the underside of the mouse, towards the back.
that should release the battery door, which is the top part of the mouse, where your palm would rest.
the mouse takes 2 AAA batteries.

Keyboard not responding

The keyboard has probably died. (It happens often). Here's a great inexpensive combo to replace your current one. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-MK270-Wireless-Keyboard-Mouse/dp/B00BP5KOPA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491364851&sr=8-1&keywords=Logitech-MK270-Wireless-Keyboard-Mouse
