Hi;
This is and usual indication of a poor spindel motor that needs replacing it is the motor that spins the disc, it is the most common failue in DVD's and CD plyrs. You can't just replace the motor you will have to replace what called the mech assembly which will include the spindle motor/Laser/stepping motor etc...

5 disc cd changer CC4000 will not read

All players need cleaned from time totime. Do NOT try to clean it with anything other than a CD / DVD lens cleaner. They are available almost everywhere that sellsBlank media. It will clean the lens without scratching or smearing it.

Dvd/cd player model no dvd-cv52, displaying HO7. have unpluged from power, and cleaned disc.

HELLO

I have just recently posted a cure for this - but here we go again. Fault H07 is the fault code for the spindle/disc motor and to cure it do this!
With the lid of the player removed, locate the spindle and where the motor shaft goes into the motor itself, use a little light oil or WD40. Don't drench the area or you'll really have fun cleaning it up!

Let it soak in a while and try it again - you should now find it works.

I am now finding quite a few owners of Panasonic DVD players are starting to get this message on the display. The same happened to me!

I wish you luck! (:-)

Sometimes my CD player won't read the cd's and other times it works just fine. I have leveled it and it seems to be working better but I'm not sure that's going to fix it.

HELLO

Have you tried cleaning the lens? Do this by removing the top cover of the player and by using a cotton bud and isopropyl alcohol.

Wet the bud (not too much) and remove excess liquid. Using a gentle circular motion clean the lens. Wait a few minutes to let it dry and try the player again. If you know what discs were a problem playing then use them.

If all is OK you have cured the problem - give it a try! (:-)
