How do I change the blades on a vermeer 1600A chipper

Place the chute over the rotor. Remove all the clamp bolts for one blade. This will allow you to remove the old blade and clamp bar. Clean clamp bar and blade slot. Install new blade with clamp bar. You will need a knife gauge for this. Use the knife gauge at each end of the blade. Torque clamp bolts to 280 ft. lbs. After blades are installed it is necessary to adjust the bed knife by loosening the three bed knife bolts. Use the set screws to adjust the bed knife to 1/16 in. above the lower feed plate. Torque the bed knife bolts to 250 ft. lbs. Then use the other two bolts to adjust the lower feed plate to .013 to .016 between the bed knife and the rotor blades. Put the chute back into place and you are good to go.

Need help putting battery in

Battery lives under rear seat IIRC.

Remove Ground - post clamp first and then Positive+ clamp from battery.

There will be one or two 10mm nuts holding the lower securing metal clamp that stops the battery from moving around.

Remove these and lift out securing plate then lift out battery.

Install new or recharged battery and secure lower metal clamp.

Install Positive post **** and then Negative post clamp in this order .

Start engine and check charging rate...max 14.68vdc at 200 rpm and 13.14vdc or higher at idle.

Avoid jump or boost starting these vehicles as electronic damage can occur to on board electrics.

How can i get the heater core out of my 2006 toyota corolla

Hello, the heater core is a small heat exchanger located inside the truck, similar to the radiator at the front of the truck. Coolant is circulated from the engine through the heater core and back to the engine. The heater fan blows fresh, outside air through the heater core; the air is heated and sent on to the interior of the truck. For Toyota Pick-ups/Land Cruiser/4Runner 1989-1996 check this reference repair guide...

Heater Core - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
(see Figure 1)
  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2. Remove the heater unit assembly. Have a lot of towels handy for the leakage of coolant that may spill into your interior.
  3. Remove the fasteners securing the core to the unit, remove the plates and clamps. Pull upwards to remove the core from the unit.
To install:
  1. Inspect the core fins for any blockage. Using compressed air, clean them.
  2. Install the core into the unit placing the plates and clamps into position. Tighten the core screws.
  3. Install the heater unit into the vehicle.
  4. Fill the cooling system.

How to install the motot?

Turn off the electric first. Now split the pump in two by removing the large clamp or 4-6 bolts holding the two halves together. (not the 4 bolts holding the motor to seal plate, but the the bolts holding the seal plate to the seal plate housing). Once you remove the clamp or bolts, the motor with seal plate and impeller and diffuser can all be pulled back away from the pump. You need to remove the diffuser (plastic housing that goes around the impeller) usually by a series of 3 to 6 small screws. Then disconnect the electrical from the motor and your can pull the motor with the seal plate, and impeller all the way out and work on it. To remove the impeller you need to lock the motor and unscrew impeller. Depending on the motor, you remove a cap in the middle of the tailpiece and hold with a wrench, or remove a cap that covers the whole end and grab the shaft with a wrench (usually 7/16") by sliding it under one of the components (not sure exact part off top of my head have to look at it) and then turning impeller. If the impeller has a bolt or screw in the middle remove that first. It should be reverse thread so make sure you don't turn the wrong way and break or strip. If there is no screw, or after you've removed it, just spin the impeller off (it should be counter clockwise standard thread). If you can't do it by hand and assuming you don't have an impeller wrench, be very careful and use a large pliers, pipe wrench, or strap wrench to loosen it. After that you unbolt the motor from the seal plate, pull the seal plate away from motor (this removes half the seal), and then pop the other half of the seal from the seal plate. Make sure to replace the shaft seal, and use a tiny bit of pool lube on the rubber parts when installing, but keep the white and black ceramic surfaces 100% free of any dirt, grease, etc while working with them. Installation is pretty much just the reverse. Install half the seal into the seal plate. Install the seal plate onto motor and bolt into place. Install other half of seal onto shaft. Screw impeller onto shaft and install screw (if one was there to start with) in center of impeller (reverse thread). install diffuser over impeller make sure it is centered and doesn't rub the impeller hub. Install new diffuser and valute o-rings. Hookup wiring before re-attaching to rest of pump. Clamp or bolt back together. Pour plenty of water into pot to prime and flip the motor on for a sec or two. Pour some more water. Install pot lid. You should be good to go. Keep in mind there are many different pumps and some variations to the above instructions, but the above should cover most situations. if something doesn't sound right let me know by commenting on this post, or sending email and I'd be glad to clarify. Good Luck!

Can't find external modulator valve on transmission

Hello Friend:
Your Vacum Modulator is on the Side of your Transmission, You'll see a Vacum Line Running to it. From your Intake Manifold.

Theres a Retaining Clamp with 1-Bolt Holding it in the Transmission ,Remove the Bolt and Don't Loose the Clamp or Bracket. NOTE: On some vehicles the Modulator Screws in, You'll know By Either Seeing the Retaining Clamp and Bolt.

When you remove the Vacum Modulator theres a Acuating Pin ,Sometimes more than Not it will Fall out DON'T Loose This You'll need to Put it back in Before you Install your New Modulator.

Hope this will Solve your Problem Please Let Me Know By Voting for the Quality of my Solution.

I know this is a little old, but I had the same problem. It turns out that under the Ice tray, there are some plastic clamps that you can set the hanging hose onto, along with a hook that the thermostat (harder thing) hangs on.

Need to know how to replace mass air flow for 1999 chevy silverado

Find fresh air hose from filter box to throttle body on intake manifold. The MAFS is inline in this hose in a like-sized aluminum plate which the hose clamps onto, 1 hose on either side of it, some models it is attached to the throttle body. The sensor itself is unimpressive-looking, but if you are looking to replace the stock-sized unit with a high-performance one, you will be replacing the aluminum in-line plate complete with the sensor module. There is a wiring harness connector, and four bolts, on GM usually 9/32nds or 10mm, a large dryer-hose like clamp or two, and that's it. Install it opposite of how you take it out.
