Question about HP Pavilion dv2000t Notebook
If the notebook is not displaying anything when powering on, but is still powering on (indicated by the power LED lighting up) then you should consider hooking it up to an external display or monitor to test where the problem stems from.
If, when hooked up, nothing displays on the monitor it is a hardware issue with the either the Hard Drive, System board, or LCD.
If, when hooked up, the screen displays normally on the monitor, it is an LCD problem
If, when hooked up, the screen displays with artifacting, vertical lines, or discoloring, it is an issue with the system board/ Graphics card.
