Won't connect to wireless internet

I bought my daughter the Asus Eee PC900 for her birthday about 6 months ago. We have 3 other PC laptops all using our home wireless without any problems, however on the Asus it connects for limited period of time. You then spend ages trying to reconnect to the network with the doomed status of 'pending'. Then sometimes when we've just given up on it and switched machines, it'll suddenly connect itself!?!?! What's going on with these?

I have her on the Linux operating system, but if this could be the cause, then I'm seriously tempted to switch her over to Windows XP ... although that will leaver her with almost no storage ... arghhh ... any advise would be really appreciated!

And the solution is the most simple things We can do! But how to fix this trobule? Why the Asus proper support team doesnt say anything?

same here pc connects to some networks but places like at my work it says pending forever

I've checked the router and confirmed the key with another computer. The eee won't stop saying pending.
