What program do you use to interface with the mp3 player? Does it autosync? IT appears that the mp3 player was being updated and it was interrupted and doind so caused it to be wiped clean. Do a search on the computer for *.mp3 and see what is lists.

I have one & I have music on it but because I lost the driver disk & had to get a new computer....I don't have the Driver app so I can put new music on & take the old off...

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format:- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Is there a way to wipe an Archos 5, 120 gb clean of all music?

Deleting Files,Pictures,etc from MP3 Player
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thank You

Need help deleteing music from siren 4gb mp3 player

Hi,
Plug the player into a computer. Go to My Computer and the player will appear as a Removeable Drive. Explore the player and copy the songs you want to keep and paste them to a folder on the computer. Now right click on the Removeable Drive and press Format. This will wipe the drive and it will be clean.
Now transfer your files back onto the drive. Done :)

I was trying to upload some new music for my friend on her NEXTAR MP3 player. It was full, so I deleted her old music, and put the new music on. All seemed fine until I tried to listen. Now when I turn...

Make sure the songs are in the right format (and that they didn't come from Limewire or Morpheus). Reformat the player to wipe all of the songs off there at once.
