How do I load the stapler?

No you don't. We answer most things here.

If the stapler is like any of these

You push the back in slightly to unlatch it and then drop it down a bit and the staple pusher comes out completely.

Need diagram to put back together

Morning Henry,

I've just had a look at the Stanley site. By the look of it, this tool is a disposable unit as they don't show any parts charts. Also, given that Amazon sell this for under $30.00, I'd bite the bullet and get a new one?

First, try holding the stapler very firm to your project and make sure that the piece that you staple in to is backed solid with no give or springiness.
second, you might try shorter staples,or . . try dialing in more tension by turning the big knob on the back end that has the "+" "-"

The gun will fire staples, nails do not set.

Shoots staples fine but brads jam or bend. Check that the part called "guide bar", #35 on the parts diagram isn't getting stuck in the channel of part #30.

The guide bar retracts into the channel when driving a staple and springs out of the channel to guide brads.

The guide bar can get stuck in the channel if it's bent or gummed up. (Bent is likely the result of driving a brad into an obstruction.)

Inserting brads into my Stanley TR250 Staple Gun

I bought one of these guns today and I had the same problem and it took me about 2 hours to figure it out as the instructions were very poor. Here how to load the brad nails:-

(a) Pull the slider bar all the way out
(b) Place the brad nail stick on the left side, IN FRONT OF the slider, NOT in the narrow gap in front of the two arrows where it says "LOAD BRADS"
(c) The nail heads should be facing the handle of the gun
(d) Close the slider and lock it
(e) Try it out. I tried nailing hardboard onto chipboard. The lever at low power only put the nail in about 30%. On Hi power it went in about 80%.

Good Luck
