This can come from the manufacturer, or perhaps an appliance store.

I just purchased a used portable air conditioner, a danby dpac120068. It is not producing any water when in dehumidify mode. Also, it seems as though the air conditioner is on even when in dehumidify...

Hi,
The A/C will be on when dehumidifying... that's how it does that...
If it is not collecting water, it is probably because the humidity is too low in the house already...

I would give it more time....

There are many reasons why a dehumidifier will not work or collect water.

My Hoover upright vacuum has gotten very loud. I have checked the roller, belts and hoses but I haven't found anything. What could the problem be? thanks

Most Hoover uprights are a "fan first" design, meaning that all dirt enters the motor , hits an impeller fan and is blown from there into the bag. You will need to open the vac, remove the belt and two C shaped clamps holding the motor in place and remove the 4 screws holding the fan cover. Look for a broken or damaged blade on the fan. It is a threaded fan and can be purchased at most vac shops. Reassemble in opposite order.
Post back to advise what you find

How to change the fan blade that is used for the suction on the vacuum cleaner?

You will need to get a genuine fan kit form a service center, then elevate the vac and remove the carpet head. From the back of the housing there will be a series of screws facing forward into the front housing, several are counter sunk. Removing them will replace the front face of the housing. You should not have to pry.Look for partly hidden screws
The belt shaft is threaded, once removed pay attention to washer and spacer location in front and back of fan.
Grip the old fan by hand and the shaft with a set of vice grips or slid a long nail through the fan shaft hole to unscrew the shaft.
Installation is reverse order with the shaft and screws hand tight... Post back to say how you make out

Poor suction

This vaccuum has a Fan Blade inside connected to the motor that spins to create the suction you feel. After a few years of use (and misuse) the blades on this (plastic) fan will be broken off, thus damaging the unit. These Fans are replaceable if you can find where you can purchase a new one. Now, if you have any knowledge of repairs at all, it's not that hard to replace to fix. If you don't feel capable of this though, I suggest you refer to someone more qualified to do this repair.

Replace Kirby legend II fan (impeller blade)

In order to replace the fan you will buy a 2 or three piece lexan fan kit containing the fan a spacer and shaft.
You must remove the carpet head and then looking from the back of the machine you will find a series of philips screws on the outer edge of the fan housing facing towards the front, several of which may be partly covered by the motor housing. You will remove the forward facing screws to allow the housing to separate and reveal the fan.
If you are lucky there will be a sideways hole through the impeller shaft allowing you to slip a nail through to help twist the saft to unscrew it while holding the fan .
The shaft will turn off revealing a threaded motor shaft with spacers which the broken fan will slide off revealing a second spacer at the back . Be sure to replace these spacers in the same order when re-assembling the unit. Secure the shaft hand tight. Post back to advise if you need further help
