Question about Acer Computers & Internet
Glad to help YOU!
The procedure is pretty simple. Just follow these steps:
# install the driver listed for your Acer Aspire from the Acer Support Website (just make sure you will choose the right country that fits you the best!); or you can download the Hardware Vendor Detection Utility from HERE to help you to choose the right driver;
# reboot the laptop
# go on START > CONTROL PANEL > ADD NEW HARDWARE and choose the webcam for your machine > OK;
# wait until the installation is done (read carefully the indications that will pop-up on screen)
# you are almost done
# go on Yahoo!Messenger or Google Chat and install the proper application (depends which one you use or you are familiar with...)
# restart web browser
# LOGIN for the chosen application and do a click on a contact/friend and choose the Aspire webcam as the device for the video chat (your contact/friend must be AVAILABLE at that moment!)
