My icemaker went on the blink, found water all over kitchen floor now it will not make ice but the freezer functions great. Model number ED2FHAXB04

Sometimes the water inlet are of an ice maker for no reason will freeze up preventing water from reaching the tray and making a mess. What will happen is the ice maker fill tube on the back of the cabinet also freezes up. As a result the icemaker tries to cycle pressure then builds up in the plastic feed line to the fill tube. This pressure build up in a very "low pressure" plastic line causes that plastic line to push itself out of the press to fit connections (fittings) at the back of the unit or under the unit. Hence the next cycle it just ports water to the now open line causing water to go to the floor instead of the icemaker.

You can locate the source of the leak by simply following the plastic fill tube and re-insert it into the fitting. You still need to find the ice build up that caused the initial leak and melt that ice buildup with a hair dryer or a fan until it is clear. Once you clear the ice blockage (near the rear of the icemaker) it should work normally again.

WAS IT LEAKING FROM INSIDE THE FREEZER OR FROM BOTTOM OF FRIDGE? ONCE IN A WHILE YOU NEED TO TAKE OUT THE ICE BIN AND DUMP ICE OUT AND CLEAN IT. HOW CAN THE ICE MACHINE OVERFLOW WITH ICE WHEN THE ICE IN THE TRAY WON'T BUDGE? NEED CLARIFICATION. SOUNDS LIKE YOU EITHER HAVE A BAD ICE MAKER MODULE OR THE SOLENOID FOR THE ICE ON THE WATER VALVE IS BAD.

Ice builds up inside the freezer every few days at bottom

There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are cased by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze

Water leaking from icemaker on outside

If this is your water dispenser leaking
Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

Ice build up on bottom of freezer. Water leaks out of freezer possibly from melting. Water leaks onto floor of kitchen.

Your problem is possibly one of two things. The ice maker is leaking or the defrost tray behind the rear panel inside freezer back wall is clogged with ice or something else. If you know its not the ice maker unplug the refrigerator and remove the back panel to see if the drain is blocked there, Let me know, Sea Breeze

Leaking ice maker.

Sounds like you have a bad inlet valve that is staying open and is not closing letting water run through the system all the time. The valve is located next to the Ice machine water line

Ice maker making little ice/Leaking water on floor.

The ice trays bust be cleaned to prevent calcium build up. This will prevent the ice from froming in trays.
The overflow could be caused by the freezer not being level, or by the water fill timer not shutting of the incoming water. This will keep the water temp. too high to freeze the water. Also check the fill valve for sepage.

Water leaking onto floor

unplug it again , sounds like your drain line has frozen, instaead of defrost water going down the tube and under refrig in drain pan, becuse tube is frozen its draining into freezer compartment and eventually spilling out through front of unit. totally defrost unit and behind back wall of freezer youll see a metal trough designed to catch water, in the center (under the ice is gonna be the drain hole, pour boiling water down until it runs freely
