You can reset your CMOS by removing the battery from the motherboard to reset the BIOS settings to factory defaults.

Here is a link to some instructions from dell for another XPS system, I couldn't find one for this specific model, but the steps should be the same:
    http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/sy...

You want to follow the section on clearing forgotten passwords, they recommend removing a jumper which will require a pair of needlenose pliers, it may be just as easy or easier to just remove the battery.
Remember to use extreme caution when performing these steps, and take anti-static precautions.

Resetting a Toshiba BIOS Password
Download (Keydisk) http://www.cgsecurity.org/keydisk.exe will reset the BIOS password on Toshiba laptops.

Can be reset using the Key Disk.exe utility, to do this you need a 1.44Mb floppy disk. Format the disk using Windows and then with a hex editor, change the first five bytes of the second sector to 4B 45 59 00 00.

Then put the floppy into your machine and boot it up, you'll be asked for a password, just press Enter. Then when you're asked to set the password, type Y then Enter, this will get you into the bios configuration where you can then type in a new password.

Cannot boot laptop because of bios password

Easiest way to wipe clean the Bios password is as follows:
  • Perform a power drain by removing laptop battery pack and/or docking station power supply and hold power button down for 10 seconds
  • Locate the CMOS battery (usually under the smallest panel on the bottom of the laptop)
  • Remove CMOS battery for 20 minutes (20 is arbitrary can wait longer if you wish)
  • Replace CMOS battery and panel
  • Replace battery pack and/or replace to docking station
  • Power up
The Bios password should now be removed and you should be able to boot with no issues. Thank you for using Fixya and please remember to return to rate this answer.

On the mainboard near the coin battery you'll find a jumper. take it off and reboot. Replace it and reboot again. that works sometimes. If not you can go to the motherboards' BIOS like Phoenix and they have backdoors built in. Read on:

These passwords are case sensitive, so you may wish to try a variety of combinations. Keep in mind that the key associated to "_" in the US keyboard corresponds to "?" in some European keyboards.
