Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

HI there! I just can't log into RootMusic from my mac.... I've tried everything! :o( My browser is Safari.... and I've done EVERYthing that the RootMusic FAQ on login probs advises; and what they themselves have said via email. When I logged into the RootMusic site (easily enough) on my friend's pc, it actually came up with a notice saying the site's best run on Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari - so I thought my Safari browser should be fine! I just can't work from someone else's computer though - and actually, even when I tried to do a little editing from there, I found that when doing basic things like adding a picture background, a banner or changing text, the site said I had been 'logged out'...!!! Very curious. I'm starting to really not trust the site. :o( I need to work from my own mac anyway, and so I really want to get to the bottom of this. Like the other person on here (joeggernaut) said, I have done all the cache-clearing, history-deleting & Safari resetting in the world! But still nada. I also downloaded the most up-to-date version of Adobe Flash Player that I could, on the suggestion of one of the RootMusic support emails I had back (that was the only useful one; the others all just copied & pasted the 'FAQ' list about sign-in problems! :o} ...) I actually can't get the very latest Flash, as I am on an older mac (with PowerPC processor, not Intel)... And my system is OS X 10.4.11 But, I never have problems like this with other websites, so why should I be having this banging-head-against-a-brick-wall problem now, with RootMusic?!! Anyone that can help me, pleeeeease drop me a line! I have paid for the 'Plus' version of the program, and so far can't do Anything with it!!! :o( Thank you so much. *x* Best wishes from Anne-Marie

Try downloading Google Chrome at google.com/chrome. Then you'll have a fresh browser that doesn't have any weird settings or extensions. Google Chrome runs well on Macs, so this should help out.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why safari dont let me download realplayer

This does sound like a strange problem. You would need to supply a good deal more information on the behaviour of Safari, and indeed your computer when this is happening, or perhaps better worded as not happening.

What I would suggest is that you download and install either the Firefox browser or the Chrome browser. They are both excellent products, and Chrome is in fact my go to browser over Safari for almost everything.

Using one of these two browsers should hopefully allow you to download Real Player.

jason

what i suggest is you delete all your browser history and cookies then try to go to facebook again,if you still cant go to the site then try to re-install your safari web browser or download a newer version of the browser and re-install.

Keep getting error to enable third-party cookies; did this and still does not work.

Make sure you don't have Facebook Disconnect installed and be sure to use a reliable browser like Mozilla or Chrome. Also, be sure to log in with your regular Facebook account and not a limited profile.
Shoot us an email at support@rootmusic.com if these things don't work - we've got a few ideas that should help you out.

Sorry to hear you're having some issues logging in to RootMusic.com. We have some ideas that may help out.

You'll want to enable 3rd party cookies in your browser. You can find the option if you go Settings in your browser and then click on the privacy tab.

For Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95647

For Mozilla Firefox:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Disabling+third+party+cookies

For Safari, if you want to enable cookies and you're using the Safari web browser, go to Safari preferences and then to the Security pane to disable cookies. On your Apple mobile device, go to Settings, then Safari, and then to the Cookies section.

For Internet Explorer, which we do not recommend for using to view our site:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Block-or-allow-cookies

You may also want to try a different browser like Firefox or Chrome. This bug affects browsers differently on each system so if one of these browsers don't work the other could be the solution. You can find them here:
www.getfirefox.com
www.google.com/chrome

There might be an issue with the time settings on your computer. If your computer clock is not set to the current time and date, you won't be able to log in. This is because when you log in to any service on the internet, they send you a cookie with a time stamp on it that controls your info to see that you are the right person. This cookie works like a bus ticket and only works for a certain period of time. If your computer clock is set to a different time that in should be it messes with the time stamp on that ticket. So it would be like trying to get on the bus with a month old ticket.

If this does not work you can try clearing the cache on your browser and then restarting it.

Also, if you're trying to sign in from a secure system, such as from your work or at a library, there might be a firewall you're hitting. Try signing in from your home computer.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Let me know how it goes! I'm here to help.

Peace,

How do you remove block pop ups from mac pro

Are you using Safari? The following will clear your browser. Try a Safari reset:

Click on Safari in your Safari menu, located at the top of your screen. A drop-down menu will now appear. Choose the option labeled Reset Safari
this will give you the option to delete stored login info, favicons, cache, history, and cookies. If you do a full reset you’ll likely see noticeably improved browser performance, but you’ll need to log in to all the websites that normally “remember” you, so if you doubt you’ll be able to recall all of your login info across the Web, try deleting everything but login info and cookies first to see if that speeds things up.
If you are using Firefox: http://noscript.net/getit Click on this link or copy and paste the complete link into your browser.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Safari + OS 10.3.9 Updates

You can go to "updates" in your "apple icon" top left hand of the screen. It will check for updates for you. Install all updates. If you havent done this ever or in a while, it is going to take some time to update everything. If that still doesnt work for you, Download firefox, it is a much better web browser than safari.
