Hi, my korg X5D have malfunctioned pitch bend and modulation wheels. They dont respond in any way, not even when i try to calibrate them.... What should i do ? Also, this is absurd question maybe, but on the downside of my X5D, little sticker says model : X5, and when i start the keybord, in the welcome message also says X5. But the whole case (plastic) is X5D case. Is there a chance that seller tricked me or this is standard on all X5D ??

The pitch and modulation wheels are on a separate circuit board, if they both stopped working at the same time, it's likely the connecting cable has dislodged.
Opening an X5(D) is relatively simple and you should be able to simply plug the cable back in. If you're not comfortable doing that, take it to a shop.

You can't always believe the display in regard to the model... Try finding the revision level display that will tell you what you have... It is NOT likely a seller would strip a X5D case to try to fool you.
Find what the difference is in the model and test your unit for that feature.

How to save x5d sounds in laptop

Hi,
if you do not already use a midi sequencing software try "Bome's SendFX". After installing, go to X5D menu 04A MIDI DUMP, choose data you want do dump (e.g. "all"). Make sure, that no SYSEX FIlter is active while working with a sequencing software.
After transmission, you can save the "yoursounds.mid" file and send it back to the X5D later.
Good luck!

Hello my Korg X5D on switching on shows 00:Initcombi0 on top display and "battery low" blinks on lower display, Keys from 33-40 are malfunctioning ( giving odd sound) other keys are working...

There's a watch type battery (flat disc) on one of the boards inside the X5D. This maintains the settings while the keyboard is switched off and could be the whole problem.
The keys are on two different circuit boards connected with a multi-pin cable. If the cable were dislodged I would expect it to simply cut off half the keys but it's probably worth checking.

How to turn on en off the moulation of a korg x5d

For Combi/Multi patches you can disable control changes for each sound under EDIT 6D but this also switches off other control change instructions (pan, expression, pedal etc.).

Somewhere under GLOBAL settings you should be able to find the modulation wheel Depth setting and set it to 0 which should stop your mod wheel from working but you could achieve the same effect by just keeping the mod wheel pulled all the way down.

When I play the sound come out distorted, like it untunes. any idea what is causing the problem? this is a for a Korg X50 and is only 2 yrs old. not korg Ma30

The manual is at:http://www.korguksupport.co.uk/upload/X50_OpGuide_E1.pdf if you don't have one. Try saving everything you want to save first if you know how to do that. Then initialize the keyboard. Follow the instructions on page 111 carefully. It sounds like you created an undesirable effect and accidently assigned the Pitch Bend Lock function to the effect. This parameter is explained on page 41 under Pitch Wheel Mod Wheel. Hope this helps.
