Question about Transcend StoreJet 2.5 (TS120GSJ25T) 120 GB USB 2.0 Hard Drive

2 Answers

I have bought a 640GB Transcend Hard Drive. But when I was transferring Bulk Data , I got a error mesage saying that due to some I/O error the data cannot be copied so you have the option to skip /retry/cancel. I choose skip. But this slowed the transfer and finally I got the message that that the destination folder does not exist.I was also not able to see the drive in " My Computer". I shut down my computer and restarted it. Now I was able to see the hard drive but it gave me the message to Format it before accessing it. I tried using the store Jet Format utility to format the Hard Drive. The utility recognised the hard drive but on giving the format command it gave" Fail" response after some time. I am not sure what to do. Please help.

Hi there,
You can retrieve your data with data recovery program.I have succeed to recover data from crashed hard drive with Tenorshare data recovery. It can recover data after deeply scanning your hard drive to look for lost data due to drives crash.Download a trial version and scan your hard drive for free to check out whether your files can be recovered.Luck! http://www.any-data-recovery.com/index.htm

Have you formatted this hard drive?
I hope you've not formatted it yet, since the formatting process always makes things worse.
Here are some ways for you to save back your inner data and this drive:
1). Do not format this drive till you've saved all your stored data back.
2). Do not add any new file on this drive in case that anything new would rewrite your original data.
3). Do not randomly select a data recovery program. In your case, an efficient data recovery program always means a lot. Therefore, you can try to apply an unformatted drive data recovery freeware to get back your player data successfully:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/03/unformatted-hard-drive-recovery-freeware.html
4). Do not save the restored data on the same drive in case of data recovery failure.
5). Do not forget to format this drive after the data recovery process so that you can check whether this "not formatted error" problem could be resolved.
Note: Never try to save everything important on only one hard drive next time.

You will have to format it. Format it in NTFS mode since it is high capacity drive. I think you are trying to use it for the first time. This also occurs if you have problem in hard drive but it is rare. Let me know after formatting, it is working or not. I will help you further.

Mac OS X Computer crashed: how to restore from storejet 25P

Hi,

Hard drive recovery software is the exact answer for your question how to restore crashed hard drive Mac data. Some days back, due to software conflicts my Mac hard drive was crashed and I was unable to access my data stored in it. I was really tensed because the stored data was very much important to me. Then I searched over the internet and found this software which successfully restored all my lost data and I was very much happy after getting back my data. The software can be downloaded either from official website or by simply clicking here.

Good luck,

I have a 25M Storejet transcend hard disk 640GB. The transfer rate of the hard disk is very slow. Its about 700 KB/sec. What might be the problem?

The problem is that you have connected it to a "USB 1.1" port, which is much slower than connecting it to a "USB 2.0" port. If your desktop computer has a "USB 2.0" USB port, use it.
If not, buy an add-in PCI card to add "USB 2.0" ports to your computer.
