Question about Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Cell Phone

1 Answer

The phone will shut itself off and won't come back on until I take the battery out and put it back in. It does this at least once a day, sometimes more.

It sounds as if your device is water damaged.

If not your best bet would be to test the battery - it does mean that you would need to get a new battery.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

My son dropped his phone in the ocean will not come on

It most likely is dead. Whenever this happens you should immediately remove the battery. If that is not possible turn the phone off. From there, letting the phone dry by putting it in a Ziploc bag with rice for several days sometimes will fix the phone.
I once dropped mine in a pool. I popped the battery off, dried it out with the rice method and tried to get it working again. It did not work until I replaced the battery but the phone was fine after that.

Blackberry just randomly shuts off

check your battery terminal. I had this same problem right out of the box. it would only stay on for 15secs shut down and continue to cycle. turns out one of the 4 prongs wasnt connecting right with the battery. I could clearly see one was shorter than the others.

The phone would only work if connected to the computer.
Are you within your 30days? or 1yr manfacture warranty? or 90 days if it refurb (ATT)(anyway)

Phone will not turn on and red led light flashes

Yep. Take a soft cloth and wipe the 5 or 6 battery contacts, CAREFULLY! Dont use water or cleaners. Put battery back in, dont turn on phone, and let it charge until light turns green. Will likely take several hours.

Display problem in motorazr

Try pullling the battery out for 10-20 seconds. PUt it back in, and press and hold the power button for 5-7 seconds. Until it lights up. If it doesn't light up, or doesn't respond, nor makes any noice. Test the battery with another RAZR. Or, if you have another battery, test with another battery. To narrow it down to whether its a phone or a battery issue.
Plus, you wanna make sure the phone is shut down once a day for about 10-50 seconds. To refresh it.

Hi,
Try removing the battery from the phone overnight (remove also the memory card if you are using one) and then on the following day put the battery back in (don't put the memory card back in - if using one) in and try to turn it on. If this doesn't help then the phone requires a flashing of the firmware (from your mobile operator). Good luck!
