Question about Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive

When i format usb 4gb kingston the computer says the memory card is write-protected.please release the write protect switch.this is my problem plz solve my problem what can i do sir.

There should be a small switch on the usb drive somewhere. You should be able to flip that switch and it takes it out of write-protection mode. I cant tell you where exactly because it is different depending on the brand. Some do not even have one, but if you are told it is write protected, then it should be a switch on it!

A lot of times USB drives will have a little write protect switch. All you have to do is locate it and flip it to the opposite of its current setting.

It always shows disk is write protected.


There is a switch on the back on the card. to disable write protection, simply move the switch in the opposite direction.

If you are talking about the SD card, there's a tiny switch on the sideopposite the angled corner.
It must be slid towards the electrical contacts edge of the adapter. The other position is write protected.

on the memory card to the left r right side ul find a tab see towards where unlock is then push the tab till there. After doing it insert your disk to computer go to "my computer" youll find the disk icon right click on that ul find format option double click on that then press ok

When i want to format my 4gb kingston pen drive the msg displayed there : The Disk Is Write Protected", What I do Now


You may have inadvertently moved the switch on the right side. If you look at the card, label side facing you, there is a small plastic switch. To be writable, it should be positioned close to the top (the side you insert). Try sliding it one way or the other and reinserting.

How to remove write protection from my pen drive


Dear,
Just do one thing
Copy the data of Pen drive to PC and format the drive. Now paste the data back to the pen drive.
It may work fine onward.

My drive is write protected, but I din't do that.dialog box showing remove the write protection. so how to remove this write protection.
