Question about Zanussi ZWD12270 Front Load Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

I have a Zanussi ZWD 16270 W1 washer dryer that won't dry. The dry program runs and everything looks like its working but the timer counts down very quickly (about 20 seconds for every minute) and there is no heat.

Whirpool Fronload Dryer has power, timer cycles through, but it is not running. The dryer worked two days ago when I ran a load. I went to dry a load this morning and it turns on, everything lights up...

The reasons can be a fault on the program controller unit but as the door does not close the program also will not move further. This must be the clue to the fault. Remove and check the lock and the settings. manually close the door with force and see if the program cycle starts, if not check the door switch and the control panel. Also check for output when the timer counts down. If not the controller unit must be checked for possible problems.

My Zanussi zwd 1270s washer dryer keeps tripping the MCB and i have no idea why, any help?

Washers take alot of power to run. In the instlation manuel they say to have a dedicated electric line .

i had a problem with mine i had a sump pump and the dryer and washer on the same line and would trip my breakers.
You can run it off another line or extention cord as long as its rated for the needed amps.

I have a zanussi washer dryer ZWD 14270w and the dryer is taking hours and hours to dry anything..help!

Not sure how full the drum is when you are using the dryer, but I have this appliance and it works best if the drum is half full. If the drum is full, things don't dry properly because the air can't circulate.

If that doesn't work I'm out of ideas!

My Zanussi ZWD 1470W won't fill up with water. I

Story could be lengthly so in brief, check to see if drain pump is not blocked and if door latch is functioning correctly.(use a multimeter if you can). If it all measures out as good, then your control is faulty. Does the water fill up to the correct level when you start the cycle? Does the motor hum when trying to run. If so check the capacitor.

Anussi ZWD 1271W stops at beginning of program

Hi,

Did you fix this problem? We have the same with Zanussi ZWD 1472 W. It takes some water and stops after 2 minutes. We need to shut machine down and fill water manually. It works fine then.

Washer dryer zwd 1480 zwd 1680 when i put a wash on after a couple of minutes it shoots down to 3 minutes and finishes. any ideas????

I have exactly the same problem, I am doing some testing with mine at the moment and I believe it to be one of the two thermostats in the heating chamber.

If you was to remove the top cover you'll find a long silver cilinder running through the middle of the unit. Looking from the front there are two modules on the left side (thermostats) with 2 wires connected to each towards the back of the dryer. These measure the temperature inside the heating chamber, on removing them the heat stays on, you have probably noticed the dryer is not even getting hot so the moisture sensor won't pick up any moisture in the air so the dryer trying to be cleaver with think the clothes inside are dry and finishes the cycle early.

I wouldn't reccomend removing these thermostats as it will probably overheat and cause a fire risk, however they should only cost a couple of ££ to replace.

Now I've just got to try and source the parts!!

Problem 1,
You can remove the entire drawer to clean it out it might be blocked.
Problem 2
Once again this might be the mother board, we had the same problem, easily replaced by a qualified engineer, it now works fine.
